Shringi Himal is basically a set of mountains and Chimar is the highest peak among all. Shringi Himal lies in central Nepal, in the south of Tibet border. Shayar Khola valley is in the east while Tom Khola is situated in the west. Shringi Himal is small in terms of land area and considered a remote site by Himalayan standards.
Even though Himal is lowest among the main mountains of Nepal, but still has reasonable elevation with steep ridges along the terrain. For instance, it elevates up to 5500 m just 13 Km from Tom Khola. As far as the summit of this peak is concerned, it was first surpassed in 1953. For the adventurers planning to hike Mt. Everest, it is a great place to practice for bigger challenge.
