Himlung Himal located at a distance of almost 150 km from the capital of Nepal, Kathmandu, is an absolutely perfect place in the Himalayas of Nepal. Total elevation is about 7140 m above the sea level and it was first climbed in 1983 by a team comprised of Nepali mountaineers and the Hirosaki University Alpine Club. It is hard to believe that Himlung Himal mountain was first ascended in 1983 because the region is close to the border of Tibet and there was minimum access for the tourists to such far off places.
As for now, the road to this mountain is a journey of varying experiences. For example, until you reach Annapurna Trek, the road is dotted with small cafes, internet facilities, and some other shops which provide all type of amenities to the tourists. But from here on, the world becomes calmer. You will be welcomed by the Tibetan Khampa people living in their traditional style. You will pass through remote villages, lovely forests, narrow gullies, amazing rock formations, and unique Tibetan culture. The number of tourists to Himlung Himal is quite less which makes it more appealing than other alike places. However, the number of visitors is increasing gradually with the passage of time. Himlung Himal Mountain is amazing with noble and graceful summit shape. You might stay for hours watching the mountains and satisfying your soul.
