Baseri village is an old village in District Dhanding in central Nepal. As per the census of 1991, it has the overall population of 6264 people. The village is away-at a distance of 60 Km from the main urban area Dhadingbesi. The village surrounded by a mountainous region covered with green plantations. Cool breeze in the morning and after the sunset will whisper in your ears to sooth you.
Villagers of this area are very simple and living in their Nepali traditional style. Roads and streets are paved. Major occupation of the people is agriculture and other sources of income are less. Communities of both Hindu and Buddhist religion live here in harmony. Mostly is Brahman in the lower part while Gurung and Ghale live in the upper part of the Baseri village.
Om Sheree Krishna Store is the most famous clothing and grocery store in the area. You can do some little shopping from here. This grocery store has a history of 7 decades and it is run by a single-family. History of the Baseri village is thrilling as it lies nearby epicenter and a steep hillside. Baseri village was extremely hit by the Nepal Earthquake of 2015. Interesting places in the village are Anapurna Temple at Baseri VDC, Basbote Chautaro and Baseri Dhading.
