Trishuli River is a tributary of the Narayani River. Basically, it starts from Tibet and enters into Nepal at a famous Gyirong Town. Name of this river has genesis in trident of Shiva. Shiva is considered as the most potent god in Hinduism. There is a fabricated story about the river as people says that god Shiva created three springs from the Himalayas, and Trishuli is one of them.
The tourists have special attraction for this river as it offers splendid gorges and easy access from Pokhara and Kathmandu. Boating in Trishuli is most enjoyed outdoor activity. Freshwater of the river comes straight from the glaciers melting at Himalayas Top. You can easily visit the Chitwan National Park also once you will reach here. A glimpse of the cable car leading to famous historical Hindu Temple Manakamana add further value for visiting this place.
The overall activities at this river would cost approximately 50 USD. The curvy Prithvi Highway makes access to this river a bit dangerous. Chances of accidents are there, thus, it needs to be very cautious while traveling on this route. Anyhow, this is a wonderful place for those who looking for a short trip in search of a peaceful environment.
