Traveling to historical places like Taklung makes you modest. Once you will land at any place anywhere in the world, then you will know that how tiny you are in this monstrous world. Taklung is a famous religious tourist area in Tibet and it is basically sub-sect of the Kagyu school of Buddhism.
It was constructed in 1180 CE, during second founding of Buddhism. This school educates in Mahamudra practices. It was in the 13th century when the 4th lineage holder constructed Riwoche Monastery in Kham. Afterward, this became famous as Taklung.
For now, the teachings of this school has been spread in Mongolia, India, China, and Tibet. Traditions are unique and captivating. People working or living around this has an antique style of living and they are not ready to forgo their old ways of living. This place is visited frequently by many tourists round the year and you should take your due share of mesmerizing yourself.
