Ghorepani is basically a village in Myagsi District of north-central Nepal. Elevation of the village is approximately 2874 m above the sea level. Location of this locality inside the Annapurna Conservation area had made it more attractive for the tourists. You need a proper permit from National park authority to visit this place.
Do you have an idea of visiting the localities located at higher elevations just to see the living style and rich culture of the people or to spend a night in an environment away from the hustle and bustle of urban areas? If yes, then Ghorepani is the place waiting for you to pay a visit.
However, don’t worry due to this, a tourist guide can help you in taking this permission. There are many guest houses in the village furnishing food and lodging facilities to the mountain trekkers and hikers. Ghorepani was often used as a stopover by the ancient traders to quench the thirst of their horses as the water of this place is not only sweet but present in abundance also. However, presently the construction of many other roads has made this place unnecessary for the traders.
Ghorepani lies on a path which connects many other villages and the Annapurna Base Camp. From the Birethanti village, it can be accessed on foot. So if you are planning to go to the Annapurna Conservation area, then this village is a treat for night stay.
