Yen Stream - sometimes the words cannot do justice with the natural beauty of places. Yen stream is a natural attraction of a similar kind. It is famous for it that the majestic beauty of the stream can entice any photographer and tourist from the far-flung areas of not only Vietnam but foreign world also. None could be better placed than this in Autumn to visit. It is located on the outskirt of Hanoi.
Yen Stream flows for about 3 kilometers between the two mountains. However, while traveling across the stream gives the feeling as it is endless. Hundreds of visitors came to this place, mostly during the spring season to enjoy the sacred atmosphere of the Perfume Pagoda festival. Boats remained full of pilgrims leaving for sacred festivals of the pagoda. It is among those few water ways by which once can reach Huong Pagoda.
Before finally reaching Chua Huong, tourists usually take rest for one hour nearby stream to enjoy the natural beauty and serene environment of the Yen Stream. Despite the fact that stream is not too long but still it attracts a large crowd of people on a seasonal basis. It is the poetic and magnificent scenery for which the visitors throng here. In addition to this, some other places to see near are the Phoenix Mountain and Doi Cheo Mountain. Indian Python has shape exactly like Doi Cheo Mountain. Bung and Voi mountains are on the left side.
These two magnificent mountains have very interesting legends. Ngu Nhac Mountain is on the right side of the Yen Stream. Vietnamese burn the incense of god nearby this mountain. During the heydays of summer, the stream becomes more soothing as you will find no busy boats which are normal during the festivals. Sometimes during the off-season, some tourists love to stay at this place for a few days to enjoy the local lifestyle. Lilies are also found in abundance on the surface alike painting.
Tourists can just sit in a boat and pass over the boat to refresh themselves and forget the stresses they carry along normally. Blossoming time of the lilies is morning, however, these retract when the sun disappears. In short, the environment, the beauty and the simple life of locals living around make Yen Stream an attractive place for the visitors.
