7:45 - 8:15 AM: Your tour guide and driver will pick you up from the Old Quarter or the Hanoi Opera House. We will then depart for Ha Thai Lacquer Village, renowned for its lacquerware since the 17th century.
Upon arriving at Ha Thai Village, we will stroll through a charming alley to a workshop filled with exquisite lacquer products. Here, an artist will guide you through the intricate steps of creating lacquerware. (If you wish to keep your product as a souvenir, please register with the workshop staff.)
This tour offers a unique, hands-on experience, allowing you to craft your own masterpiece and immersing yourself in the rich traditions of Vietnam’s craft villages.
11:30 AM: Arrive in Chuong Village, known for its 300-year history of conical hat making. We will visit a family with a long-standing tradition in this craft, one of the few that still preserves a wooden house with
traditional Northern Delta architecture. This visit offers a captivating glimpse into the Vietnamese countryside of decades past.
The experience becomes even more enriching as you participate in a cooking class guided by the host. Afterward, enjoy a delicious lunch, sip on green tea, and take a moment to relax.
Following lunch, you’ll delve into the process of making conical hats. Join the artisans in crafting these iconic conical hats, or unleash your creativity by painting your own masterpiece.
14:00 PM: Welcome to Quang Phu Cau Village, renowned for its centuries-old tradition of incense-making. As you stroll through the charming alleys of the village, you’ll be greeted by the enchanting aromas wafting from the local workshops.
Your stop is at the largest family-run workshop in the village, where generations have honed their craft. You’ll see workers energetically engaged in their tasks and storerooms filled with products at various stages of completion.
Outside, the yard is adorned with thousands of colorful incense bouquets, perfect for memorable photos. Interact with friendly locals eager to share their knowledge about incense making, and even participate in crafting incense yourself, enriching your experience in this unique village.
