Day 1: Arrive in Kigali
Welcome by your tour guide at Kigali airport. Transfer to Kigali, check-in to your hotel then enjoy an afternoon Kigali city tour. Overnight: Kigali
Day 2: Akagera National Park
Transfer to Akagera National Park and take a boat ride on Lake Ihema. Overnight: Luxurious camping in the park or comfortable hotel
Day 3: Akagera National Park
Enjoy game drives and community-based experiences. Overnight: Luxurious camping in the park or comfortable hotel
Day 4: Huye and Nyanza
Transfer to Huye and on your way visit the famous catholic cathedral of Kabgayi and the Rwanda National Museum – visit the ancient King's Palace at Nyanza, Rwanda art and the women's drumming group at the university. Overnight: Recommended hotel in Huye
Day 5: Huye and Nyungwe National Park
Visit the university and market and enjoy the dancers at the museum before transferring to Nyungwe National Park. Visit a tea plantation and spend the afternoon primate viewing in Nyungwe National Park. Overnight: Recommended hotel in Nyungwe
Day 6: Nyungwe National Park
Trekking of chimps in Nyungwe National Park as well as seeing a beautiful waterfall, the source of the Nile, birding and nature walks. Overnight: Recommended hotel in Nyungwe
Day 7: Karongi and Lake Kivu
Transfer to Karongi and visit Bisesero on the way, Karongi church and Nyange genocide memorial – boat tour to Amahoro Island, the Island of Peace, in the late afternoon. Overnight: Recommended hotel in Karongi
Day 8: Rubavu and Lake Kivu
Boat transfer to Gisenyi where you visit the fishing village, hot springs, brewery, and communities around. Overnight: Recommended hotel in Gisenyi
Day 9: Hot springs and Kinigi
Transfer to Kinigi. See traditional dancers and learn about Rwandan drumming, singing, and dancing. Additionally, learn about Rwandan cooking in a local family. Overnight: Homestay or Five Volcanoes Hotel
Day 10: Twin Lakes & Buhanga Forest
Transfer to a fishing village at Lake Ruhondo where you will learn about local fishing methods and visit a Street Children Project in Ruhengeri; learn about sorghum or banana beer production by a women's cooperative and visit another women's cooperative where they produce handicrafts made of banana leaves. Day 11: Gorilla trekking

Day 12: Transfer to Kigali
