Description
PALCCOYO + ANANISO CANYON
On this tour, you will enjoy a unique sight from the rainbow mountain, plus a visit to the beautiful Ananiso Canyon.
Our tour starts around 4 am when our guide and driver pick you up from your hotel and drive you for about 3 hours to the small town of Checupe, where we will stop for breakfast. Afterward, we will continue for an hour up to the entrance of Palcoyo. Once there we will start our hike up the the viewpoint of the rainbow mountain.
After 1.5 hours of enjoying the views of the rainbow mountains, we will start a hike down to the Ananiso town, reaching it after an estimated 3 hours, making stops to have some snacks and our box lunch. Once in Ananiso, we will continue hiking for 20 more minutes to the entrance of the canyon, where we will visit the cave paintings, and look for chinchillas while we walk.
Finally, we will return to Ananiso town, and our driver will take us to the viewpoint of the canyon to finish our visit and head back to Cusco, arriving around 7 pm.

Arrival at Checupe (breakfast): 6:30 - 7:00 am
Arrival at the Palccoyo entrance: 9:00 - 9:30 am
Visit to the Rainbow Moutain: 9:00-9:30 to 11:00 pm
Hike down to the Ananiso Canyon: 11:00 pm to 1:30 pm (lunch break during the hike down)
Arrival in Ananiso and explore the caves: 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm
Head back to Cusco and stop at the Ananiso View point: 2:30 - 3:00 pm
Arrival in Cusco: 7:00 pm
