Day 1: Nairobi – Transfer to Samburu (Approx. 5 hours)
Be picked from your Nairobi hotel at 6.30 a.m. then depart for Samburu passing through the equator line to Samburu land. Arrive with a short game drive en route to the camp for lunch. After lunch, relax before a game drive at 4 p.m. Samburu Park has unique residents including the Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy’s Zebra, Beisa Oryx, and the Blue-legged Somali Ostrich.
Overnight: Samburu Simba Lodge or Samburu Sopa Lodge
Meals: Lunch & Dinner
Day 2: Samburu – Full day
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in search of unique northern Kenya species such as the reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx, Grevy’s zebra, and the long-necked gerenuk. Much of the reserve consists of the desert landscape; dusty red plains broken by thorny scrub, featuring dramatic views of tabletop Mt Ol Olokwe on the horizon.
All meals are taken at the camp.
Day 3: Samburu – Transfer to Sweetwaters (Approx. 3 hours)
Depart Samburu after breakfast arriving in time for lunch at Sweetwaters Wildlife Sanctuary. This is a beautiful private game reserve and home to rare species such as Beisa oryx, Rothschild’s giraffe, and black rhino. Observe chimps at the Chimpanzee Sanctuary as well.
Overnight: Sweetwaters Tented Camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 4: Sweetwaters – Lake Nakuru (Approx. 3-4 hours)
After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. Relax by the pool area and later have a game drive at 4 p.m. You will meet great masses of Flamingos not forgetting the endangered white and black rhino found in this park.
Overnight: Lake Nakuru Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara (Approx. 5-6 hours)
Have an early breakfast then depart for Maasai Mara to arrive for lunch at the camp. Have lunch then relax before an afternoon game drive at 4 o’clock till 6 p.m.
Overnight: Mara Sentrim camp or mara Chui camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 6 & 7: Maasai Mara – Full-day game drives
Spend these 2 days with full-day game drives with picnic lunches.
Overnight: Mara Sentrim camp or mara Chui camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 8: Maasai Mara – Lake Naivasha (Approx. 5 hours)
Have breakfast then head to Lake Naivasha to arrive by lunchtime. The afternoon will be spent with a boat ride to Crescent Island where you will have a guided nature walk.
Overnight: Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge or Sentrim Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 9: Lake Naivasha – Transfer to Amboseli (Approx. 5-6 hours)
Have breakfast then immediately depart for Amboseli. You will arrive in Amboseli at lunchtime. Check-in at the lodge and later enjoy lunch then relax before your afternoon game drive at 4 O’clock for 2 hours.
Overnight: Amboseli Aa lodge or Amboseli Sentrim camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 10: Amboseli – Full day
Spend this day with morning (6.30 a.m. – 9 a.m.) and afternoon game drive (3-6p.m.). The rest of the time is spent in the lodge.
Overnight: Amboseli Aa lodge or Amboseli Sentrim camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner
Day 11: Amboseli – Transfer to Nairobi (Approx. 4 hours)
Have early breakfast at the lodge then check out the park and drive to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch. Later be dropped at your hotel or airport.
