Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdare National Park

Pick up from the airport or your hotel in Nairobi in the morning and drive to Aberdare National Park, arriving at The Ark Lodge in time for lunch. The Ark is one of the park’s most distinctive safari lodges, overlooking a floodlit waterhole and salt lick that attract a steady flow of wildlife throughout the day and night. Designed like Noah’s Ark, the lodge offers excellent viewing from its three decks, balconies, and lounges, making it a superb place to observe animals up close without leaving the lodge. Day 2: Aberdare National Park – Naivasha

Begin the day with an early morning game drive from 6:00 to 8:00 AM, then return to the lodge for breakfast. Afterward, continue exploring Aberdare National Park, which is especially known for sightings of the leopard and rare forest species such as the bongo, giant forest hog, and melanistic serval cat. You will also have the chance to enjoy the beauty of Karuru Falls, the highest waterfall in Kenya, and one of the park’s most remarkable natural attractions. A picnic lunch will be served in the park before exiting in the evening and departing for Naivasha. Dinner and overnight at Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp.

Day 3: Naivasha – Hell’s Gate National Park

In the morning, visit Hell’s Gate National Park, a unique destination known for its dramatic scenery, towering cliffs, gorges, and geothermal features. It is one of only two parks in Kenya where walking and cycling are allowed, giving you a more active and immersive way to experience the landscape and wildlife. You may choose to explore the park on foot, by bicycle, or by vehicle, depending on your preference. Return to Lake Naivasha Crescent Camp for lunch, then enjoy an afternoon boat trip on Lake Naivasha, where you can take in views of the lake’s birdlife and hippos. Day 4: Naivasha – Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, depart for the Maasai Mara National Reserve, arriving at Keekorok Lodge in time for lunch. The afternoon is dedicated to a game drive in one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife reserves, famous for its sweeping plains and exceptional animal encounters. The Mara offers excellent chances of seeing lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and, depending on the season, the great migration. Dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge.

Day 5: Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast at the lodge, spend the day exploring the Maasai Mara with a packed lunch. This full-day safari gives you more time to search for the reserve’s rich wildlife and enjoy its open savannahs, riverine areas, and abundant game. The Mara is especially rewarding for big cat sightings and for the overall density of wildlife found across the reserve. Dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge.

Day 6: Maasai Mara National Reserve – Balloon Safari

Enjoy an early morning balloon safari, one of the most memorable ways to experience the Maasai Mara. From the air, you can take in the vast beauty of the reserve and spot animals moving across the plains below. After the balloon safari, breakfast will be served, followed by a game drive until lunchtime. In the afternoon, visit a Maasai village outside the park for a cultural experience that offers insight into Maasai traditions and daily life. Dinner and overnight at Keekorok Lodge.

Day 7: Maasai Mara National Reserve – Nairobi

After breakfast, depart for Nairobi, where your safari ends.
