Big Five Kenya Safari
Big Five Kenya Safari starts from the Rift Valley nearby Laikipia Plateau where the Samburu warriors offer the opportunity to explore the big game country. Camel train is available for carrying your luggage among the established camps. After this, Porini Rhino Camp is another beauty to be unleashed in front of your eyes. It is located in the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and had a great ecosystem comprised of a large population of black rhino and many other floras.
You would be then taken to the Masai Mara once you will profoundly visit the Laikipia. Masai Mara has Wildebeest in abundance and most of the wildebeest migrate to this place between July and November. Itinerary of the Big Five Kenya Safari:
DAYS 1-4: Exploring Laikipia on Foot | 3 Nights - Your Big Five Kenya Safari starts at Nairobi’s Wilson Airport from where another flight to the Nanyuki Airport would be taken.
- The Tumaren tented camp is only at a distance of two hours' drive from the airport where interaction with wildlife will take place.
- Enjoy the lunch and have a detailed briefing from our guide. Laikipia region is in the Great Rift Valley, an area special and famous for wildlife and other private conservancies. - The next day would start a little earlier. The early we would leave, the more we will have chances to catch up with a variety of animals. It is a reality that while walking on foot presents you with more beautiful sceneries than being on the vehicle.
- You would be watching beautiful zebra, big cats, hyenas and wild dogs that are living in such parks for ages. The residential camp would be tied up on a camel train and will follow you.
- Continue walking as much as you can afford through the wildlife sanctuaries to be as close to nature as possible.
- On the third day of the Big Five Kenya Safari, our activities will involve fishing and swimming in Ewaso Nyiro River. Sat at a beautiful scene on the bank of the river in the evening to view the Mt. Kenya. Drinks will add more value to evening gossips.
DAYS 4-6: Discover the Land of the Rhino along the Big Five Kenya Safari | 2 Nights - You will be taken to the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and then to the Porini Rhino Camp right after breakfast. These camps are located beside the seasonal stream in the foothills of Mt. Kenya.
- Enjoy your time while chasing the Big Cats in Masai and exploring the hidden beauty of nature.
- We will take you to the sanctuary of Baraka and Chimpanzees also. Baraka has a story associated with it. It was rescued from the wild desert when it became clear that it cannot survive alone in the wild.
DAYS 6-8 | Masai Mara Magic | 3 Nights - Get back to the Airport for the flight to the Masai Mara. Settle in Porini Mara Camp and Ol Kinyei Conservancy. Our stay will be for three days at this place.
- Camp would be set on a path leading to the seasonal wildebeest migration camp. Location is exclusive as it offers an opportunity to view the big game drive.
- Observe the movement of buffalo, giraffe, elephants and the other big cats. Guides might take you close to the wildlife and wild animals to see them closely. This is an incredibly unforgettable experience along the Big Five Kenya Safari and people remember this experience for the rest of their life. Keeping your and environmental safety at fore, game drives are conducted in the conservancy. We will host you for lunch also.
DAY 9 - Farewell to Kenya - Time to go on an early morning game drive. Ol Kinyei Conservancy is well-known for it.
- After the short game drive, come to the camp and enjoy the breakfast. Wrap up your luggage and say goodbye to the Masai Mara. You would be taken to Nairobi Wilson Airport late evening after lunch so that you could board your flight to return to your home country.
