Day 1 : NAIROBI - SAMBURU

0700hrs Pickup from Nairobi airport / Nairobi hotel Proceed through the central highlands of Kenya with views of coffee, tea, sisal, pineapple and subsistence farming activities.

Local African homesteads dot the red soiled slopes of this region. View the Mount Kenya with its snow – capped peaks along the safari route. Afternoon wildlife viewing drive at the Samburu, Shaba and buffalo springs reserves.

Meal plan; Lunch, Dinner

Accommodation; Samburu Simba Lodge or tented camp.

Day 2 : SAMBURU GAME RESERVE

The day shall be spent with game viewing drives / relaxing interludes at the Samburu game reserve. Game viewing drives in this dry and scenic game reserve are concentrated along the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro river. This is where most wildlife is found.

Day 3 : SAMBURU GAME RESERVE - OL PEJETA

Early game viewing drive at the Samburu game reserve. Later depart for the cooler Mount Kenya and Laikipia region to the Olpejeta wildlife sanctuary. Afternoon game viewing drives including opportunities to see Rhino and Chimpanzee.

What you may see / do around Ol Pejeta….. Elephants, Tree hyrax, white tailed mongoose, black fronted dicker, mole rat, bushbuck, water buck, Elands, rhino, chimpanzee.

Day 4 : OL PEJETA - ABERDARES NATIONAL PARK

Morning wildlife viewing drives at Ol Pejeta Sanctuary for Aberdares National Park. Later proceed to the Aberdare National park Arrive Aberdares for lunch. Transfer to your tree hotel. Afternoon relaxation at your Tree lodge as you watch wildlife in the nearby waterhole.

Overnight at your tree lodge with game viewing from the balconies of your cabin. What you may see/do at Aberdare National park bird watching, game viewing and photography. NB: Only small overnight bags are allowed at the tree hotels.

Day 5 : ABERDARE - LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

Later proceed to the lake Nakuru national park. There shall be a stop to view the scenic Thompson falls at Nyahururu. The drive via farming country and homesteads via the Great Rift Valley escarpment edge is scenic. Afternoon bird watching and game viewing drive. The lake Nakuru national park is home to hundreds of bird species including a few flamingos and other bird species. The lake also hosts the black and white rhino population in its sanctuary.

What you may see at Lake Nakuru national park ……. Few Flamingoes, Zebra, Black Rhino, White Rhino, Waterbuck, Makalia waterfalls.

Day 6: LAKE NAKURU - LAKE NAIVASHA

Early morning game viewing drives as you exit Lake Nakuru for Lake Bogoria. Proceed to Lake Bogoria on a scenic drive along the floors of the great rift valley. Visit the Lake Bogoria to marvel at the hot springs, geysers and flamingos viewing (season permitting). We shall later proceed to the Fresh water Lake Naivasha Here ,we shall visit the Hell’s Gate national park. We shall take bicycles and cycle to the nearby Hell’s Gate national park where you explore on foot this canyon and spot small game including Giraffes, Zebras, Buffaloes among other small game.

What you may do at Lake Naivasha Boat ride, bird watching, nature walks, visit to hell’s gate.

Day 7: LAKE NAIVASHA - MASAI MARA

Morning boat ride and short walking safari on the crescent Island Later exit the lake Naivasha and proceed to the Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive Masai Mara and proceed for an afternoon game viewing drive.

Day 8 : FULL DAY MASAI MARA

Today shall be a game viewing extravaganza! Masai Mara Game reserve remains the most exciting wildlife eco-system in the Natural world. It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region. The scenic appeal of the tree studded savannah plains, the moderate climate and diversity of wild game species makes it a one stop shop for game viewing activities. We shall traverse the Masai Mara reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing encountering the big five and more of the lesser game. We shall visit the Mara river where we may watch hippos & crocodiles or maybe the great migration (July – October)

Day 9 : MASAI MARA - NAIROBI

Early pre-breakfast game viewing drive. Depart Masai Mara with an exit game viewing drive. Proceed to Nairobi to arrive approximately 4:30 pm. Drop off at a Nairobi hotel / Nairobi airport.
