7 DAYS KENYA SAFARI(AMBOSELI, LAKE NAIVASHA, NAKURU, MASAI MARA)

Day 1: Mombasa – Emali Train Station – Amboseli: (100 km – Approx. 1.5 hrs drive)

Early morning collection from your Kenya Coast beach hotel for transfer to the Mombasa Railway Station. 0800 hrs : Depart Mombasa Train Station for Emali (near Amboseli) on the Madaraka Train. You shall enjoy country views and maybe spot wildlife as you transit to Tsavo East & West national parks. 1052 hrs: Arrive at Emali Train Station where you shall be met by your safari driver/guide and proceed to Amboseli National Park.

The drive is via expansive savannah plains dotted with local homesteads and colorful Masai tribesmen and their cattle. Arrive at the Amboseli National Park in time for a welcome shower, refreshments, and lunch. An afternoon game viewing drive is scheduled when animals are at their most active. Weather permitting the Mount Kilimanjaro snow-capped peaks shall be visible during the afternoon game viewing drive.

Day 2: Amboseli National Park

This will be a full day of game-viewing drives. Plenty of time to soak up the wildlife and the magnificent scenery. And we’ve allowed time for relaxation as well. There will be an early morning game drive. Then breakfast will be followed by a mid-morning drive. After a comfortable lunch, we’ll set out on a later afternoon game drive. Between the wildlife viewing sessions, relax at your Amboseli lodge or camp. They will provide meals and other activities. As always, your safari vehicle and driver/ guide are at your disposal for even more game-viewing drives.

Day 3: Amboseli – Lake Naivasha – (340 km: Approx. 6 hrs)

Time permitting, there may be a short wildlife viewing drive as you exit the Amboseli National Park. Proceed to Lake Naivasha on the floors of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Lake Naivasha in time for lunch Afternoon boat ride at Lake Naivasha where you view exotic birdlife and hippos amid the serenity of this freshwater rift valley lake. Later proceed for a guided walking safari at Crescent Island.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Lake Nakuru: (80km: 1 hr)

(we may visit Lake Bogoria instead if you are more keen on flamingo viewing)

We shall hire bikes and cycle to the nearby Hel’ls Gate National Park where you explore on foot this canyon as you spot small game. Later a short 1 hour drive will take us to the Lake Nakuru National Park. Birdlife abounds with possibly a few flamingo views together with pelicans and other bird species. The Lake Nakuru National Park is home to the black and white rhino species, warthogs, lions, zebras, giraffes, and many more.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara:(285 km: 6-7 hrs)

An early bird and game viewing drive as you exit the Lake Nakuru National Park. Proceed to the Masai Mara game reserve. Arrive at Masai Mara and proceed for an afternoon game-viewing drive.

Day 6: Full Day – Masai Mara

Today shall be a game-viewing extravaganza! Masai Mara Game Reserve remains the most exciting wildlife ecosystem in the Natural world. It is host to the highest and most varied concentration of wild animals than any other wildlife park in the region. The scenic appeal of the tree-studded savannah plains, the moderate climate, and the diversity of wild game species make it a one-stop shop for game-viewing activities. We shall traverse the Masai Mara reserve on a full day of unlimited game viewing encountering the big five and more of the lesser game. We shall visit the Mara river where we may watch hippos & crocodiles or maybe the great migration (July – October).

Day 7: Masai Mara – Nairobi: (265km: 6hrs)

Early pre-breakfast game viewing drive. Depart Masai Mara with an exit game viewing drive. Later depart for Nairobi to arrive approximately 4:30 pm.
