Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve
You’ll be picked up from your Nairobi hotel by the friendly Jossec Safaris team, who will brief you about the safari before departure. The drive takes you north across the equator into Samburu, one of Kenya’s most dramatic and wildlife-rich reserves. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive where you’ll encounter the unique Samburu Special Five — Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, beisa oryx, and reticulated giraffe. You might also spot elephants, leopards, and lions along the Ewaso Nyiro River. Return for dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 2: Full Day in Samburu National Reserve
After breakfast, head out for a full day of game drives exploring Samburu’s semi-arid landscapes dotted with doum palms and rugged hills. Samburu’s peaceful setting makes it one of Kenya’s most rewarding wildlife experiences. Return to your lodge in the evening for a relaxing dinner.

Day 3: Samburu – Ol Pejeta Conservancy (Sweetwaters)
After breakfast, depart for Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a private wildlife sanctuary located on the equator. Arrive for lunch and enjoy a relaxed afternoon before visiting the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place in Kenya to see these primates. You’ll also visit the rhino sanctuary to learn about conservation efforts for black, white, and the last northern white rhinos. Later, enjoy a sunset game drive before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Ol Pejeta – Lake Nakuru National Park

Arrive for lunch at your lodge and later enjoy an afternoon game drive. The park is famous for its flocks of flamingos, pelicans, and large populations of rhinos. You may also see lions, giraffes, and the elusive leopard hiding in the acacia forest. Return to your lodge for dinner and a restful night.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, journey south toward Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch. As the sun sets, capture perfect photos of wildlife silhouetted against the mountain before returning to your lodge for dinner.

Day 6: Full Day in Amboseli National Park
Enjoy a full day exploring Amboseli’s diverse landscapes — open plains, swamps, and acacia woodlands. You can also choose to enjoy an optional hot air balloon safari ($450 per person) at sunrise for a once-in-a-lifetime aerial view of Amboseli’s wildlife followed by a champagne breakfast. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.
