5 DAYS TSAVO EAST, TSAVO WEST & AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARKS TOUR

Day 1: Kenya Coast – Tsavo East: (120km – Approx. 3 hrs)

Early pick-up from your Holiday beach resort of Mombasa, Diani, Tiwi, Kilifi, Watamu, or Malindi. Proceed to the Tsavo East National Park.

The scenic drive follows the early explorer’s route along the Mombasa-Nairobi highway (slight start variation from Malindi/Watamu resorts) Game viewing drives commence on entry at the Tsavo East. Explore this vast typical savannah landscape with its large elephant herds and many other animal species The afternoon shall be spent on game viewing drives in search of more wildlife species. Tsavo East is expansive, and game-viewing drives are long and rewarding.

Day 2: Tsavo East- Tsavo West

We shall be ready before sunrise in anticipation of the morning game drive! All the ingredients for a wonderful day are in place. …the splendor of an African sunrise dominates the natural world as we traverse the vast park in search of the early grazers and predators. A final game-viewing drive at the Tsavo East shall follow as we leave the park. We shall proceed to the Tsavo West where we continue on game-viewing drives. This afternoon we visit the Rhino Sanctuary where the endangered species are protected.

What you may see at Amboseli National Park Elephant, Cheetah, Buffalo, Giraffe, Zebra, Lion, Crocodile, Mongoose, Hyrax, Dik-dik, Lesser Kudu.

Day 3: Tsavo West – Amboseli: 100kms Appr 2 hrs:

we embark on an early morning game and scenery viewing drive. Sunrise catches us as we explore the Tsavo West National Park. The natural world unfolds amid the freshness and beauty of the morning. We drink in the scenic beauty of this awesome park. We head to Mzima Springs to view hippos, crocodiles, exotic fish, and a variety of bird species. The greenery surrounding the underground springs is a welcome contrast to the dry terrain that forms Tsavo West National Park. Later proceed to Amboseli National Park to arrive late morning Relax until late afternoon when we set out to explore the Amboseli National Park in a game viewing drive. This is a leisurely game viewing drive with animals easily seen and with the bulk of Mount Kilimanjaro providing an awesome backdrop for wildlife photography. Clouds may open up and the sight of snow-peaked Mount Kilimanjaro shall mesmerize.

Day 4: Amboseli National Park

This will be a full day of game-viewing drives. Plenty of time to soak up the wildlife and the magnificent scenery. And we’ve allowed time for relaxation as well. There will be an early morning game drive. Then breakfast will be followed by a mid-morning drive. After a comfortable lunch, we’ll set out on a later afternoon game drive. Between the wildlife viewing sessions, relax at your Amboseli lodge or camp. They will provide meals and other activities. As always, your safari vehicle and driver/ guide are at your disposal for even more game-viewing drives.

Day 5: Amboseli – Nairobi: 250kms: Appx: 3.5-4 hrs

We shall be early again! Early morning game viewing drive. Sunrise and the emergence of the Mount Kilimanjaro peak from the clouds is dramatic “weather permitting”. Marvel at the sights as we enjoy our breakfast. Extra mid-morning game viewing drive. Depart the Amboseli and proceed to Nairobi.

Arrive in Nairobi at appr. 4.30 PM. Drop off at Nairobi airport / Nairobi hotel.
