Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi to Masai Mara Game Reserve
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome and safari briefing by the Jossec Safaris team in Nairobi, where we’ll answer all your questions to prepare you for the journey ahead. We’ll travel together to the Masai Mara Game Reserve, famed for its expansive plains and incredible wildlife sightings. After a scenic drive, you’ll check into Rhino Tourist Camp, your comfortable home base in the Mara. Your first game drive kicks off that afternoon, where you may see elephants, lions, and more up close. Relax over dinner back at camp, and let the calls of the wild lull you to sleep under Africa’s vast sky.
Day 2: Full Day in Masai Mara
Today’s all about getting up close with nature! With both morning and afternoon game drives, you’ll have time to explore the diverse ecosystems of the Mara. Our knowledgeable Jossec Safaris guides, with their insider knowledge, will help you spot the famous Big Five and other wildlife roaming freely across the plains. Whether it’s witnessing a pride of lions in action or catching a glimpse of the elusive leopard, this day is filled with unforgettable moments. At night, unwind at Rhino Tourist Camp and reflect on the day’s incredible experiences.
(Please note: On your last day in the Mara, we’ll skip the morning drive to allow for a leisurely departure, giving you time to fully appreciate your last moments here.)
Day 3: Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll make our way to Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its shimmering lake and flocks of pink flamingos. The game drive here is truly unique; you’ll have a chance to see endangered species like the black and white rhino, and maybe even the rare Rothschild’s giraffe. Your stay at Lanet Matfam Resort offers the perfect balance of comfort and closeness to nature.
Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha
Today, you’ll travel to Lake Naivasha, where Kenya’s wild beauty takes on a new form. Settle into Taphe Guest House before heading out on a serene boat ride across the lake, where hippos bob in the water and the African fish eagle soars above. For those seeking extra adventure, optional excursions to Hell’s Gate National Park or Crescent Island are available, letting you hike or walk among freely grazing animals—a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park
Our next destination is Amboseli National Park, home to large herds of elephants and awe-inspiring views of Mount Kilimanjaro. After checking into AA Amboseli Lodge, you’ll set out on an afternoon game drive where Kilimanjaro’s majestic peak forms the perfect backdrop. With our experienced Jossec Safaris guide at your side, you’ll have front-row seats to Kenya’s wildlife spectacle, including lions, cheetahs, and buffalo.
