TSAVO EAST NATIONAL PARK, nicknamed “Theatre of the Wild," is famous for large herds of red-dusted elephants! Tsavo's east elephants were named the red elephants due to their constant dust-bathing with the park's fine red volcanic soil. It's also home to most of the larger mammals.

Tsavo East National Park,nicknamed “Theatre of the Wild," It is well known for its large herds of red-dusted elephants!
It's the largest and oldest national park in Kenya, covering a total land area of 13,747 square kilometers. It was established in April 1948.
It’s the home of the longest plateau in the world, covering a distance of over 300 kilometers. The Yatta Plateau is a key tourist attraction in Tsavo East National Park. The park hosts a large number of permanent residents, especially the large mammals that include lions, elephants, and buffalo. Other big game at the park include: crocodiles, hippos,found at the Lugards Falls Waterbucks, Lesser Kudu, Gerenuk, Zebras, Giraffes, and many more. The park has a prolific bird life, featuring over 500 bird species recorded across the park.

Day 1: Mombasa – Tsavo East National Park.
Early morning pick-up at 6:30 am from your respective hotel, then drive to Tsavo East National Park, arriving on time for the late morning game drive as we spot red elephants. Check in at the lodge or camp for lunch. After lunch, settle in and rest during the hottest part of the day. After tea time, proceed for a second game drive through the park until 18 hours in search of the resident animals, i.e., buffaloes, giraffes, gazelles, waterbucks, leopards, zebras, and different bird species, not forgetting the so-called man'-eater, the Lions of Tsavo.
All meals and overnight at Tsavo East Sentrim Camp or equivalent
Day 2 – Tsavo East=>Mombsa
Before breakfast, embark on a short game drive in the park—this is the best time of day to spot big cats. Thereafter, return to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, check out and drive towards Mombasa with lunch en route, arriving at your hotel at around 17 hrs.
