Uzbekistan Highlights Tour

Day 1: Arrival in Tashkent – City Tour

Arrival in Tashkent.

Breakfast at the hotel.

Start the city tour with a visit to the Khasti Imam Complex, home to one of the oldest Qurans in the world, written on deer skin. Visit Tilla Sheikh Mosque, Barak Khan Madrasah, and the Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum.

Continue to Chorsu Bazaar, one of the oldest markets in Central Asia, historically located at the crossroads of the Great Silk Road.

In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Applied Arts, followed by sightseeing at Independence Square, Navoi Theatre Square, and the Earthquake Memorial.

Enjoy a ride on the Tashkent Metro, famous for its unique station designs.

Dinner at a traditional local restaurant.

Overnight: Tashkent

Day 2: Tashkent – Samarkand (High-Speed Train)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to Tashkent railway station.

09:45 – Arrival in Samarkand

Samarkand, one of the oldest cities in the world, flourished as a major cultural and commercial center on the Great Silk Road.

City tour includes:

• Afrosiyob Museum
• Ulugbek Observatory
• Shakhi-Zinda Necropolis
• Ruins of the Bibi-Khanum Mosque
• Siab Bazaar, located next to the mosque

In the evening, take part in a traditional plov cooking experience at a local family’s home.

Day 3: Samarkand – Full Day City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel.

Explore the highlights of the 2,700-year-old city:

• Gur-Emir Mausoleum, the burial place of Amir Timur
• Registan Square, with its three magnificent madrasahs
• Bibi-Khanum Mosque, once the largest mosque in Central Asia

Visit Siab Bazaar to taste dried fruits, nuts, and traditional sweets. Learn about the regional varieties of Uzbek plov.

Overnight: Samarkand

Day 4: Samarkand – Shakhrisabz – Bukhara

Breakfast at the hotel.

Drive to Shakhrisabz (80 km south of Samarkand), the birthplace of Amir Timur.

Sightseeing in Shakhrisabz:

• Ruins of Ak-Saray Palace, Timur’s summer residence
• Jahangir Mausoleum, burial place of Timur’s eldest son
• Dorus-Saodat Complex
• Gumbazi-Seyidan Mausoleum
• Kok Gumbaz Mosque, built by Ulugbek

Return to Samarkand in the evening.

Transfer to the railway station.

22:20 – 00:04 – High-speed train to Bukhara.

Overnight: Bukhara

Day 5: Bukhara – City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel.

Full-day sightseeing in Bukhara:

• Samanid Mausoleum (9th–10th centuries)
• Chashma Ayyub Complex
• Bolo Hauz Mosque
• Ulugbek Madrasah and Abdulaziz-Khan Madrasah
• Magoki-Attari Mosque
• Trading domes: Toki Zargaron, Toki Sarrafon, Toki Tilpak-Furushon

Visit the Lyabi-Hauz Ensemble, including Kukeldash Madrasah and Nadir Divan-Begi Khanaka.

Continue to the Ark Citadel, former residence of the Emirs of Bukhara, and the Poi Kalon Complex:

Tea break at a Bukhara silk carpet workshop with a short introduction to carpet weaving traditions.

Day 6: Bukhara Countryside – Tashkent

Breakfast at the hotel.

Excursion outside the city:

• Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa, the summer residence of the last Emir of Bukhara
• Bahauddin Naqshbandi Mausoleum, an important Sufi pilgrimage site
• Chor-Bakr Necropolis, an open-air memorial complex

Lunch at a local restaurant.

Free time in Bukhara.

Transfer to Bukhara railway station.

16:00 – 20:20 – High-speed train to Tashkent.

Overnight: Tashkent

Day 7: Departure from Tashkent

Breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer to Tashkent International Airport for departure.
