• The Tomb of Tamerlane. In the underground crypt, three more rulers were buried: Timur’s sons Miranshah and Shah Rukh, and his grandson Ulugh Beg (14th–15th centuries).

• The Rukhabad Mausoleum (The Abode of the Spirit). According to legend, a casket containing seven hairs of the Prophet Muhammad is kept beneath the dome (14th century).

• Registan Square, the central square of Samarkand and one of the most famous architectural ensembles in the world.

• The Meros Paper Factory, founded by the well-known Mukhtarov brothers. Thanks to their efforts, the ancient Samarkand paper-making tradition has been revived using historical techniques.

• The Mausoleum of Saint Daniel (Daniyar), a prophet revered in three religions. Located on the outskirts of ancient Afrasiab in northeastern Samarkand, this long five-domed structure stretches along a high hillside, with the Siab River flowing at its base.

• The Ulugh Beg Observatory (15th century), a unique architectural and scientific monument situated on the outskirts of Samarkand on the Kuhak hill.
