Experience the wonders of the Sahara Desert by night!
Hi, I'm Jamel, your private tour guide and your window into authentic Tunisia.
If you just want to tick off the top sites and attractions, anyone can do that. But if you also want real insight into Tunisia's history, people and culture, then I'm your man.
On this trip, we will truly experience the magic of the desert at night, by spending a night in a tent camp. In addition, we will also discover some other major highlights of Tunisia, the Roman Amphitheater of El Jem, the Berber dwellings of Matmata and the mountain oasis of Chebika.
Note: This tour is only available from Oct 15 to May 30
Of course, we can stop at any time along the way to sample the best of Tunisia's cuisine.

Itinerary
- Visited Places:

Day 1:
Departure to El Jem, site of a spectacular Roman Amphitheater dating from the 3rd century.
Stop for lunch.
Drive to Douz via Matmata .
Visit Sidi Driss, filming location for many scenes from Star Wars.
Visit a family living in a troglodyte Berber dwelling
Overnight in Matmata.
Day 2:
Head to Douz, the town known as the Gate To The Sahara
Camel ride Or ATV ride to explore the desert.
Lunch break.
Dinner and overnight in the tent.
Day 3:
After breakfast, drive to the Mountain Oasis Chebika and Mides , crossing the impressive salt lake Chott El Jerid. Enjoy a walking tour through the palm trees and natural springs.
In the afternoon , head across the dunes by 4x4 to to Ong Jemal, the Star Wars Mos Espa desert
Dinner and overnight in Tozeur .
Day 4
Early departure to the holy city of Kairouan.
Visit the main monuments of the town: the Great Mosque, the Barber Mausoleum and the Aghlabid Basins. On request, we can visit a Berber rug manufacturer.
Return to Tunis.
