Not far from the Algerian border, springs spring forth and small oases offer their shade, Tamerza and its waterfalls, Midès and its canyons and the very beautiful oasis of Chebika.
The site of Ong Jmel owes its name to a rock sculpted by erosion which resembles a camel's neck (Ong Jmel in Arabic). The location was used for the making of the film “The English Patient” by director Anthony Minghella.
