EXCURSION 1day To KSAR GHILAINE / Chenini Tataouine

Djerba, this route is also used to bring fresh water to the island by pipeline.

Medenine, is a crossroads city and one of the last cities before Ben Guerden and Libya. Next to the new town, there is the old Ksar, it is one of all these Berber Ksours that we will visit during the day.

Then road to the desert, and the oasis of Ksar Ghilaine.

We will pass by a road that winds between the hills to slowly look at the cayons, the landscape will become more and more arid and rocky, the sand of the desert will wait until the entrance to Ksar Ghilaine.

We will have lunch in a restaurant at the foot of the dunes.

You will have free time in the oasis of Ksar Ghilaine, with the possibility of swimming in the spring, camel ride or quad (extra).

Then continue your road towards the Berber village of Chenini which offers a view of the mountain. This guide will be happy to introduce you to the different buildings that make up the village, such as the oil mill, the mosque, the houses dug into the mountains, and much more.

Then leave for Ksar Hadada, where some scenes from the film “Star Wars, Episode 1: The Phantom Menace” were filmed.
