3 days and 3 Deserts

Day 1: Djerba to Ksar Ghilane

Depart from Djerba in the morning and explore Tataouine and its local market, then give yourself a moment of freedom to stroll through its picturesque streets and taste the delicious local pastry, the famous “gazelle horns”

Afterwards, head towards Chenini, a magnificent Berber village renowned for its picturesque beauty, where you will be welcomed by your local guide. Displaying a broad smile imbued with deep affection for his village, your guide overflows with passion for his profession. He will take you on a walk of around an hour through the village, revealing its most secret corners. Explore the traditional granaries, the houses nestled in the cliffs, the old oil mill, the mosque and many other treasures.

Then continue towards Ksar Ghilane, famous for its natural hot water spring. Settle under the tents in a camp facing the majestic dunes and enjoy a relaxing moment to explore the surroundings. Witness the magic of preparing sand bread cooked under the embers during a warm evening around the campfire

Day 2: Tozeur and the mountain oases

After an invigorating breakfast, head to Tozeur via Douz. Take a photo stop at the Chott Djerid salt lake, the largest salt lake in North Africa

The adventure continues with the enchanting discovery of the Chebika oasis, guided by a passionate resident of the region. A hike of approximately 40 minutes will allow you to explore the secrets of this picturesque oasis, where majestic palm trees stand proudly among crystal-clear waterfalls and lush gardens. Let yourself be carried away by the magic of this enchanting place, where natural beauty and tranquility reign supreme.

The adventure continues with a visit to the majestic Tamerza waterfall, a natural wonder that amazes with its power and beauty. After this captivating discovery, take time to enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, where you can taste regional specialties while admiring the surrounding landscapes.

The excitement continues with a 4×4 departure through the desert, crossing the famous Chott El Gharsa and following the old track used by the Dakar Rally. After a picturesque photo break at Ong Jmal, you will continue crossing the vast rocks and immense dunes in a 4×4, towards Mos Espa, the largest Star Wars setting in Tunisia. At the end of the day, you will return to your hotel with a final stop at the Nefta basket

Day 3: The troglodyte village of Matmata and return to Djerba

After leaving Tozeur, our journey takes us towards Douz, with an unforgettable stop at the petrified dunes of Debebecha, where time seems to have stopped. In Douz, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the local market, where captivating colors and scents captivate the senses. Take the opportunity for an exciting quad or camel adventure, offering a unique perspective on the desert (extra).
