Day 1: Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park – Afternoon Game Drive

Your adventure begins with an early morning flight or ferry and road transfer from Zanzibar to Mikumi National Park. Upon arrival, your professional safari guide will welcome you and begin your first exciting game drive.

Mikumi is well known for its large populations of wildlife roaming the Mkata Floodplain, where visitors often spot elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, buffalo, and antelopes. The park is also home to more than 400 bird species, making it a great destination for bird lovers.

After the game drive, proceed to your safari lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight stay near the park.

Day 2: Full Day Safari in Mikumi National Park

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day wildlife safari in Mikumi National Park. This day offers the best chance to see a wide variety of animals in their natural environment.

Large herds of elephants crossing the plains

Giraffes browsing on tall trees

Hippos and crocodiles at the famous Hippo Pool

Zebras, wildebeest, eland, and many antelope species

Your guide will share insights about Tanzania’s wildlife, ecosystems, and conservation efforts while helping you locate animals and capture incredible photos.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing the afternoon safari.

Day 3: Morning Game Drive – Return to Zanzibar

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, the best time to see predators such as lions and hyenas returning from night hunting.
