During Stone town tour, we will visit the following:

Former Slave Market Museum

This was the main East Africa slave market around 18th Century and Build the church as abolition of East Africa Slave Trade by end of 19th Century. Inside the area we will visit Slave monuments, Slave exhibition and the old church that is still being used for prayers.

Freddie Mercury Museum (Just outside)

Did you know that Freddie Mercury was born in Zanzibar?

This is the Museum where he was born in 1946. He had his primary education in Zanzibar.

The Old Fort Zanzibar (Ngome Kongwe)

The old fort which is also known as 'Ngome kongwe' in Swahili language was built in 17th Century by the Omanis on the site of a Portuguese church which was built in 16th Century. It was built to protect city from European invasions. Now it is still being used as a theater for several traditional Music performances and shops.

Forodhani Gardens.

The most common garden for both Tourists and locals where night markets with several seafood and other Zanzibar recipes are being made. Also, it is very common place for evening jumps...! teenagers make shows...

Prison Island (Changuu Island)

On the island there are Peacocks, Dik-dik and giant Aldabra tortoises that are almost to 2 centuries.

The Island has gone through three different names that reflect the history and very important events. These names are

1. Changuu Island because of the fishermen. Chaguu is a Swahili word that means Red-snapper

2. Quarantine Island because of eruptions of Yellow fever, Malaria and Cholera in 1923

3. Prison Island because of Prison by British Minister by end of 19th century.

Nakupenda Sandbank (Romantic Beach)

Nakupenda is a Swahili word that means I LOVE YOU. it is a romantic sandbank in the middle of the ocean.

You will relax, sunbathing, swimming and get BBQ lunch. We offer vegetarian food for those who don't eat seafood (Should be notified before the trip).
