During this time, you'll cover a distance of around 4 kilometers. You'll be ascending in elevation from about 3,400 meters at Murrum Barrier to 3,700 meters at Shira Plateau.Optional Extension to Cathedral PointFor those who want an extra challenge and more beautiful views, there's an option to hike to Cathedral Point. The hike from Shira Plateau to Cathedral Point is about 4 kilometers each way, taking an additional 2-3 hours.

At Cathedral Point, you'll reach an elevation of around 3,800 meters. Returning After enjoying the stunning scenery, it's time to head back.The hike back from Shira Plateau to Murrum Barrier takes roughly the same amount of time, around 1-2 hours.Then, it's another 30min by car from Murrum Barrier back to Londorossi Gate.
