He showed us lots of lava fields and interesting rock formations and coloured lava and again imparted a lot of knowledge and answered a lot of questions for us all, especially the children. Unfortunately at this point in the tour the weather was not great so he gave us the option of moving on or for some of us to wait on the minius but we all got out and explored in the rain anyway. We had arranged with him that we would take a picnic tea so he took us higher, and happily out of the rain, to a wonderfully peaceful place in the pine forest with picnic tables and facilities where we could relax and enjoy the scenery. We also visited a giant Canarian pine tree where he told us of the legends surrounding it and again took several photos for us. He was worried that we would not get to see the sunset because of the weather and said if that was the case, if we were willing to pay for the minibus on another night he would waive his personal charge and take us again for free! However, we continued on upwards and eventually came out above most of the clouds and into the sunlight. We stopped at a good, quiet viewpoint which Gregory recommended away from the few big coaches that had made it up the mountains and where there were interesting coloured strata in the rocks nearby and Gregory produced plastic cups for the Cava he had advised us to bring to toast the sunset. Sadly, the actual peak of Mount Teide remained hidden in cloud but we did get some interesting and moody shots of the sun setting amongst the clouds and of us all toasting Mount Teide in the background. Because of the cloud the sunset was a bit early so on our return Gregory offered to drive us around Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas to show us the lights and the nightlife which was very interesting and an added bonus. All in all a great night out and I would not hesitate to book tours with him again - a much better experience than my first time visiting Tenerife when I used the big tour buses - and ideal if you have a big family group like us.  Hide review

He took us to all the best view points and hiking spots. Brilliant at taking photos, he gave us many souvenirs of our time on Teide. We also experienced local food at a local restaurant where the prices were incredibly reasonable and where the locals ate, the food was outstanding. We also had time to buy souvenirs in a little town where our guide knew the prices were reasonable. We stopped at a little Cafe In Vilaflore and had local beverages, again a brilliant experience. Our guide went above and beyond with his time and local history knowledge. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a tour personalised, relaxed and crowd free.  Hide review

It was a perfect day and ending of our first trip to Tenerife! After reading many good reviews about private tours in Tenerife with Gregory we decided to make a private tour to Mount Teide with him. He picked up us up at our hotel in Costa Adeje in the morning. He was there already 10 minutes prior to pick up time. We explained to him that we had been to the Teide National Park already by bikes and he immediately decided to take another route to the top. On our way up we stopped for a coffee break in Chio - at Mirador de Chirche - and tasted the famous Tenerife coffee - Barraquito - Yummie - very tasteful! Gregory was very informative and knowledgeable and he told us many interesting facts about Tenerife on our way to the top. He stopped several times to allow us to do some small hikes for 30-40 minutes along the way. We got up to the Cable Car and Gregory had already fixed both tickets to the cable car and the permit allowing us to walk up to the very top at 3718 masl. He also brought waterbottles for us. We went to the top - which was an amazing experience and we recommend everyone to do it - not to just take the cable car - but walk the very last 700 meters to the top. Take it easy though... we are in pretty good shape - but our pulse increased surprisingly high walking up to the summit. Gregory was right there waiting for us when we came down. We had such a good time with Gregory and decided to expand our trip so we continued to La Esperanza where we had a great lunch at Restaurante El Pariente. Gregory suggested us to taste the goat cheese and a local dish called Ropa Vieja & the rabbit - very nice! After that we continued to Anaga Rural Park and did a very small hike there just to taste, listen and smell the nature - so beautiful! Finally we saw the beautiful sunset and it was time for us to head back on the highway to Costa Adeje! What an amazing day... Gregory is a very nice, attentive and knowledgeable tour guide. ,We will highly recommend a trip with him! When we go back to Tenerife we will for sure book another trip with him as our tourguide. On the day of the tour our tour guide Gregory phoned to go through the options and organised wine tasting. The vineyard was beautiful and we learnt a lot and enjoyed various canary wines. We then stopped at various places in Teide where Gregory was not only very informative but also avoided the big buses to ensure we got a more personal experience . The final stop was the sunset with cava. Gregory found the perfect place so our group could watch the sunset away from the crowds. Fantastic tour and lovely experience. The tour guide was very polite and helpful explaining the local features of the people and the island. We have two teenage children and they were completely delighted. Gregory’s knowledge of the island's history and geography, as well as his enthusiasm and humour, made this experience special for all of us. When I found the tour online I wasn’t sure about it, but having emailed through TripsPoint I was really impressed when Gregory phone me within 5 minutes, answered my questions and advised on the best times to have the experience to enjoy the Teide and park at its best. We went as a family, children ages 11, 15 and 19 - diverse ages and interests but everyone loved the day. Book early if you want to hike to the top of Teide.
