Sri Lanka: 4-Day Sigiriya, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya & Hikkaduwa

Day 01: Sigiriya Rock Fortress, Dambulla & Safari Tour

Pick-up from Colombo Airport or from your hotel in Colombo / Negombo

We can plan to leave between 7.30 am – 8.30 am as per your convenience. Earlier the better, as it will be tiring to climb Sigiriya with high sunlight in the noon/afternoon.

Travel time to Sigiriya from Negombo (Approx 03 Hours)

En route visit to Dambulla Cave Temple

Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress (It will take 1 1/2 – 2 hours to climb up and come back)

Traditional Village safari with Sri Lankan lunch

Safari Tour at the Minneriya National Park

Sri Lankan Cultural Show at Habarana (6.00 pm- 7.00 pm)

Start heading towards Kandy

Visit to the Kandy viewpoint

Night stay at Kandy

Day 02: Hillcountry, Tea Experience, and the Scenic Train Journey

Breakfast at the hotel

Visit to the Kandy temple of the tooth relic, Kandy museum

Kandy Lake round, Kandy market hall, etc

Kandy city tour with other important places, including the Kandy war cemetery, Gem Museum, Spice Garden, etc

Start travelling towards Nuwara Eliya

Stop at Labukele for a Tea Factory visit, visit to the Tea estate, and see the complete process of tea plucking and processing in the factory

Stop at Ramboda View Point, Ramboda Waterfalls, etc

Visit to the Gregory Lake Park located in Nuwara Eliya city (depends on the time left for the train)

Transfer to Nuwara Eliya railway station by 2.45 pm

(Normal travel time from Kandy to Nuwara Eliya station is 2 1/2 hours. Time for the sightseeing on the way can be arranged accordingly, as per your preference.)

Train Journey from Nuwara Eliya to Ella

(Vehicle will be driven to Ella with your luggage, etc.) and chauffeur will be awaiting your arrival at Ella station (You will be reaching there around 17.30)

Night stay at Ella

(Ella has a good nightlife with some beautiful restaurants, pubs, etc.)

Day 03: Explore Ella, Transfer to the Southern Beach of Sri Lanka

Little Adam’s Peak is a beautiful place to witness the sunrise. We have to go there around 5.45 – 6.00 am if you'd like to witness. Otherwise, we can go there after breakfast. You can decide it.

is one of the places to visit in Ella.

We can cover them in the morning and start travelling towards Hikkaduwa by noon.

You can check into the hotel in Hikkaduwa in the evening. The evening will be ideal for relaxing at the beach

Day 04: Beautiful Hikkaduwa & Colombo

Hikkaduwa Beach is an Ideal place to relax and get involved in water sports activities.

Madu River Boat Safari is a great experience. Worth trying it.
