The Palmetum Tenerife is located right on the ocean coast in the capital of the island, Palmetum Santa Cruz de Tenerife and easily accessible both by a rental car and public transport. This peaceful botanical garden Santa Cruz is specialised in the palm trees, covering over 12 000 square meters of the park territory.
By itself the Palmetum is a very unique botanical garden tenerife, created on the place of the former garbage waste plant, converting it to the full of life enjoyable place. The park possesses the biggest collection of palm trees in Europe and one of the biggest in the world.
Palmetum doors are open daily, from 10:00 to 18:00, but the last possible hour to enter is 17:00.
You will need approximately 2 hours to explore the park.
Tenerife Palmetum is located nearby the central bus station of Santa Cruz de Tenerife and there's also a big free parking lot right by the entrance to the garden.
