Show full review ➤ The tour itself was OK as a way to see La Gomera on the cheap. Take your own food, though, because what was served was appallingly bad. Brown dishwater masquerading as yam soup, with no salt or pepper on the table. Followed by unidentifiable meat (rabbit? Chicken?) and frozen mixed veg worthy of school dinners in the UK in the 1960s. The "demonstration" of the whistling language was risible. Nice views up/down the road to the rain forest. Hide review

Views are priceless, unique whistling language, endemic laurel cloud forest in Garajonay park and obviously Miguel, our very knowledgable and friendly tour guide - all that made the day. The price of the tour is another advantage - it will cost you almost twice a price just for the ferry tickets if you go on your own. Highly recommend this La Gomera day trip! Hide review

We're satisfied with our decision to take this tour and enthusiastically recommend for it to anyone else. Hide review

Our group would have skipped it if we'd known the usual tourist was over 55, since everyone was as quiet as if they were on a school trip rather than a vacation. On top of that, he skipped over a lot of stuff in his translation, spoke largely in Spanish, and repeated himself in English and German. But overall we definitely enjoyed the scenic views. The booking process was efficient and pickup times etc were carefully explained. We were picked up on time and coach was very clean. Bernard our tour guide coped admirably in informing guests of details about our trip in English, French and German. Ferry crossing was quick and we set off on our coach for our tour. The coach driver Lorenzo was professional and managed the narrow roads safely. We stopped for lunch at La Zula restaurant and this is where points were lost. Whilst we appreciate the cost of the trip was inexpensive for us we would have rather eaten fresh sandwiches. The first course of soup served with a bread roll was ok. The main course consisted of rice, some meat ( no one was able to state what meat) and a mixture of what appeared to be tinned veg. I don't eat much meat (especially if I don't know what it is) and asked for a vegetarian option but no eggs. When it arrived some time later it was an egg frittata with the same rice and mixed veg.....When I explained I had asked for no eggs the waiter raised his eyes to the sky and took my plate away. It was returned with just a larger portion of rice and mixed veg. Not at all palatable! The red wine (no white offered) on the table was in an unlabelled bottle served ice cold!. Dessert was a small pot of banana ice cream, again not brilliant. Something needs to be done about quality of food and if I had a choice, would have taken my own food. The rest of the trip was enjoyable and views spectacular. One point to note is when you get on the coach at the start, choose your seats wisely as you have to stay in the same seats the entire trip. Show full review ➤ Booked at TripsPoint easily, after a few minutes I've got the tour voucher with all details. Pickup location was just 5 min walk from our hotel and it was easy to recognize the bus descrived in voucher. The bus by itself was very clean and fresh. It took about an hour to get to the ferry. It was the Fred Olsen ferry and we loved it, having coffee with a beautiful views on Tenerife from the ocean. After docking in La Gomera harbour we took another bus - it was already waiting for us. The La Gomera tour by itself was very well organized, the guide was very friendly speaking English and Spanish, so we start to understand some new Spanish words :) A funny show during the lunch (lunch is just okay, be I realize the trip is inexpensive, so it's hard to expect more). The best part of the trip was the Garajonay park - a rainforest in the heart of la Gomera. It was a bit chilly there, but despite of the cold we enjoyed a walk and it hard to describe the beauty of the Garajonaj rainforest. I would highly recommend this trip. Hide review
