The Huayhuash Mountain Range is located in the central mountains of Peru south of the Cordillera Blanca. It has 7 mountains that exceed 6000 meters in height and other mountains that exceed 5500 meters, among them is the second highest mountain in Peru, Yerupaja (6634m) as well as Siula Grande (6356m), made famous by the climber Joe Simpson "Touching the Avoid" among others such as Rondoy (5879m), Jirishanca (6094m), Yerupaja Chico (6121m), Sarapo (6,127m), Carnicero (5,975m), Trapecio (5,644m), Diablo Mudo (5,223m) and Pumarinri (5,465m).

Este día ascenderemos hacia el paso de Siula a una altitud de 4.800m. Desde aquí apreciamos las montañas de Siula, Yerupaja Grande y Yerupaja Chico y las 3 famosas lagunas de Huayhuash. » Tiempo de caminata: 7 a 8 horas aprox. » Camping: Huayhuash (4350m) Día 4: Huayhuash – Paso Trapecio (5,000 m.) – Cuyocpampa (4,560 m.) » Tiempo de caminata: 5 a 6 horas aprox. » Camping: Cuyocpampa (4560 m) Día 5: Cuyocpampa (4,560 m.) - Paso Santa Rosa (5,070 m.) Huayllapa (3,600 m.) Este día ascenderemos hacia el Paso Santa Rosa 5070 m s.n.m. para tener una vista impresionante de las montañas más altas de Huayhuash, Laguna Jurao y Sarapococha. » Tiempo de caminata: 8 a 9 horas aprox. » Camping: Huayllapa (3600 m) Día 6: Huayllapa (3.600 m.) - Paso Tapush (4.770 m.) - Gashpapampa (4.570 m.) Este día caminaremos hacia arriba y así dejar atrás el pueblo de Huayllapa. » Tiempo de caminata: 5 a 6 horas aprox. » Camping: Gashpapampa (4570 m) Día 7: Gashpapampa (4.570 m.) - Paso Punta Llaucha (4.850 m.) - Laguna Jahuacocha (4.100 m.) » Tiempo de caminata: 5 a 6 horas aprox. » Camping: Jahuacocha (4100 m) Día 8: Laguna Jahuacocha - Paso Jhuapunta (4,650 m.) - Pocpa - Huaraz Luego de despedirnos de nuestros arrieros abordaremos nuestro transporte hacia Huaraz. » Tiempo de caminata: 4 a 5 horas aprox.
