Embark on an exclusive hiking tour to Machu Picchu through our Short Inca Trail, 2 days from Cusco. If you are limited on time, this version of the Inca Trail is perfect for you, where you can explore the most outstanding spost of the ancient path and visit some of the most beautiful Inca complexes such as Chachabamba, Wyñaywayna, Sun Gate, and the iconic Machu Pichu. 12km (7.4 miles) of hiking through the spectacular landscapes of mountains, biodiversity, and history will surprise you during the corners. Visit Machu Picchu twice: in the afternoon on the first day after the large groups had already left it, and early in the morning on the second day to enjoy the sunrise.

Day 1. Cusco - Ollantaytambo - Km 104 - Sun Gate - Machu Picchu - Aguas Calientes
Our representative will collect you from your hotel early in the morning to transport you towards the train station in Ollantaytambo. Here, you'll board the train following the Urubamba valley, which offers extraordinary views. After a couple hours of riding, you will get off at Km 104, 2260 meters (7,414 feet), where the Inca Trail starts.
After passing the checkpoint, you will start hiking through the original Inca Trail made by the Incas hundreds of years ago. You will visit some mystical Inca complex, such as Chachambamba, which was a resting point during the Inca period.
After a couple hours of hiking along the mountain, you will reach the Wyñaywayna Inca complex, one of the most important along the Inca Trail. Your guide will explain the history and visit every temple. You'll also be amazed by the immense farming terraces.
After that, you will enjoy your box lunch. We will continue hiking another hour to get to the famous Sun Gate, 2,700 m (8,858 ft), where you can get a stunning view of Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu mountain.
Then you will hike down to Machu Picchu and arrive at the classic spot where you can get the most spectacular views of this iconic Inca building. After we have spent enough time, we will exit from Machu Picchu and board our bus to Aguas Calientes, where your guide will accommodate you at your hotel.
Around 6:30 p.m., you will have dinner.
Day 2. Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco
Today, after your breakfast, we'll board the bus to visit Machu Picchu again. Your guide will lead you to explore the most outstanding temples, and you'll explore each place with all the history of Machu Picchu. It will take around 3 hours to follow the designed circuit. If you have booked your Machu Picchu or Huayna Picchu mountains, you can hike them.
Around 11:30am, we will leave Machu Picchu and take the bus down to the town. After resting enough, we will take our train back to Cusco.
Our tour will end with a drop-off at your hotel.
