THE BEST OF CUSCO 6 DAYS AND 5 NIGHTS

DAY 1,

FLIGHT FROM LIMA TO CUSCO.

PICK UP FROM THE AIRPORT, FREE AFTERNOON.

8:00 am - 7:00 pm Country or city of Origin- Cusco.

You arrive in the charming city of Cusco after taking your flight from your country or city of Origin. According to your flight schedule, we pick you up at the Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport in Cusco (CUZ) for transfer to the hotel.

The check-in time at the hotel is from 12:00 hrs. If you wish, you can leave your luggage at the hotel reception and walk around the nearby places to wait for your room to become available.

The rest of the day is free for you to explore Cusco on your own and at your own pace. You can take the opportunity to rest and get used to the altitude of this beautiful city in the Peruvian Andes, known for its colonial architecture and its important archaeological remains.

NOTE: If your flight arrives before 12 noon you can do the city tour in Cusco, you will visit: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara and Tambomachay.

DAY 2

SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS – NIGHT IN AGUAS CALIENTES

8:00 am - 10:45 am Cusco - Chinchero – Maras – Moray – Agua Calientes.

You start the day with a delicious breakfast and then head with private transportation to the colorful town of Chinchero, located approximately 50 minutes away. There you see different constructions of Inca walls and its small colonial Church; You also have the opportunity to participate in the production of Andean fabrics.

11:00 am - 1:00 pm Maras – Moray

You continue the visit towards the famous circular farming terraces of Moray. From there you continue the tour to the Salineras de Maras, which has more than 3,000 salt wells, which was used by the Incas for consumption. Take the opportunity to take photos and videos of this impressive place.

On the way to Ollantaytambo you make a small stop in Urubamba for lunch.

You will have the explanation of Ollantaytambo together with the group.

Once the tour is finished, our mobility will leave us in the Ollantaytambo square, to have some free time and according to our train schedule, we have to be at the station to go to Aguas Calientes and spend the night.

DAY 3

MACHUPICCHU FULL DAY.

Wake up will be at 6:00 am, after breakfast at the hotel, our guide will be waiting for you, to direct you to the bus station, and thus head to Machupicchu, to enjoy this wonder.

The tour in Machupicchu will be approximately 2 and a half hours, during this tour we will visit the main Inca temples, such as The Guardian House, The Sacred Door, The Temple of the Sun, The Temple of Water, The House of the Inca, The Intihuatana (depends of the schedules), the sacred square, the sacred rock and the temple of the condor.

Once the visit is over, we will return by bus to Aguas Calientes, to have some free time.

According to the train schedule we will return to Cusco, but not before stopping in Ollantaytambo and taking our transportation.

Arrival in Cusco approximately 10:00 Pm

DAY 4

HUMANTAY LAGOON FULL DAY

4:30 am - 11:59 pm Cusco - Mollepata - Ascent to Laguna Humantay – Cusco

Very early in the morning, your mountain guide and our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco. The first stop will be in Mollepata to have breakfast, then we will continue our route to Soraypamapa

Once in this place, we will prepare to begin a light walk towards the turquoise lagoon of Humantay, 4200 meters above sea level.

The walking time is approximately 2 hours uphill, once you reach the lake you will be able to enjoy this magnificent place, take photos with the turquoise lagoon and see the imposing Salkantay snow-capped mountain.

Likewise, you will participate in an offering by our Quechua guide, to connect with nature.

Once finished, you will return along the same path, until you reach Soraypampa, where our mobility will wait for you to direct you to the restaurant, to eat our well-deserved lunch.

Finally we return to Cusco, in approximately 3 hours, end of the day at 6:30 pm.

NOTE: If you are not in good physical condition, there is the option of taking a horse uphill, the approximate cost is 70 soles (the residents are the ones who set the price)

DAY 5

MOUNTAIN 7 COLORS

Cusco - Mountain of 7 colors.

Pick up will be at the Cusco in your hotel

We head towards the point where the walk to Vinicunca or Winikunka begins, which is called "the mountain of the 7 colors."

8:00 am - 2:30 pm Mountain of the 7 colors

You begin the walk and along the way you see impressive landscapes, alpacas, llamas and vicuñas. The ascent is a demanding hike that can take 2 hours at a considerable altitude.

When you reach the mountain you have enough time to take photos and enjoy this incredible place. Keep in mind that the maximum altitude of this walk is 5,000 meters above sea level, so it is important to be in good physical condition.

The different minerals found in the mountain give it different shades including pink, green, white, yellow, among others that create a beautiful view and give rise to its multiple names, among which are Cerro Colorado, Montaña Arcoiris and Montaña de Colors.

The descent from the mountain usually takes approximately 1 hour and a half.

Later you have lunch and prepare for the return to Cusco.

Note: You can hire transportation on a horse to help you with the ascent. Approximate cost at destination 20 to 25 USD (90 to 110 soles), the entrance to the mountain is not included, you must pay the approximate cost of 3 USD (10 to 15 soles) at destination.

2:45 pm - 4:30 pm Cusco

You arrive in Cusco in time to have dinner (not included), stretch your body and rest from this great day.

DAY 6

DEPARTURE FROM CUSCO.

00:00 am - 24:00 pm Cusco – Lima or country of origin.

You have breakfast and according to your flight schedule you have transfer to Cusco International Airport (CUZ) to board the flight to your city or country of origin.

Accommodation: Not included.
