4-Day Nepal Fixed Departure Tour: Lumbini, Chitwan & Kathmandu

Day 1: Lumbini Sightseeing and Transfer to Chitwan

Begin your Nepal journey in Lumbini, the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha. After meeting the tour representative and completing the initial arrangements, explore the important heritage sites of Lumbini. Visit the Maya Devi Temple, the most sacred site in Lumbini, marking the traditional birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama. Continue to the historic Ashoka Pillar, erected by Emperor Ashoka, and explore the peaceful International Monastic Zone, home to monasteries and temples representing different Buddhist traditions from around the world. After sightseeing, depart Lumbini and drive approximately 140 km toward Chitwan, a journey of around 4–5 hours depending on road and traffic conditions. Upon arrival, check in to your jungle resort and relax. In the evening, enjoy a peaceful Rapti River sunset experience, followed by a walk through a nearby Tharu village to learn about the traditional lifestyle, culture and customs of the local Tharu community. Later, enjoy a traditional Tharu Cultural Stick Dance performance before dinner and an overnight stay at your Chitwan accommodation.

Day 2: Full-Day Chitwan Wildlife and Cultural Experience

Wake up early and prepare for a full day of wildlife and nature experiences in Chitwan National Park, one of Nepal's most famous wildlife destinations. Start the morning with birdwatching, offering an opportunity to observe some of the many bird species found throughout the park and surrounding wetlands. Continue with a peaceful canoe ride, where you can enjoy the natural scenery and may have the chance to observe crocodiles and other wildlife along the riverbanks. After the canoe experience, enjoy breakfast and prepare for an exciting jeep safari through Chitwan National Park. Travel through forests, grasslands and other wildlife habitats while looking for the park's famous one-horned rhinoceros, deer, wild boar, monkeys, crocodiles and numerous bird species. With favorable conditions, there may also be opportunities to encounter other wildlife. After the safari, return to the resort for meals and relaxation. The remainder of the day can be spent enjoying the peaceful jungle surroundings or participating in available cultural activities. In the evening, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the Chitwan jungle resort. Please note that wildlife sightings are natural encounters and cannot be guaranteed.

Day 3: Chitwan to Kathmandu, Free Time and Farewell Dinner

After breakfast, check out from your Chitwan accommodation and begin the scenic road journey toward Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. The drive takes you through changing landscapes, rural settlements, hills and river valleys, providing an interesting view of everyday life outside the major tourist centers. Upon reaching Kathmandu, check in to your hotel and take some time to relax after the journey. Depending on the group's schedule and available time, enjoy free time for shopping, personal exploration or last-minute sightseeing in and around Kathmandu. This is a good opportunity to purchase traditional handicrafts, souvenirs, local products or gifts before leaving Nepal. In the evening, gather for a Grand Farewell Dinner featuring a taste of Nepalese cuisine and a traditional cultural performance. Celebrate the completion of your journey, interact with fellow travelers and enjoy Nepalese hospitality before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 4: Departure from Kathmandu

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and prepare for your onward journey. Depending on your departure schedule, you may have some free time for personal activities before checking out. Your tour representative will assist with the scheduled airport transfer and departure arrangements. Bid farewell to Nepal as you leave Kathmandu with memories of Lumbini's spiritual heritage, Chitwan's wildlife and jungle experiences, Tharu culture, and the diverse landscapes encountered during your journey.
