Description

Mera Peak Climbing Nepal

Mera Peak Climbing is an alluring trekking peak which lies in the Mahalangur section of the Himalaya to the East of Everest massif of Nepal. Mera Peak Climbing takes to the summit of Mera Peak of altitude 6,476 m which is the highest trekking peak in Nepal. The view from the apex of Mera Peak is one of the excellent in the Himalaya with remarkable views of five 8,000 m peaks: Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu, and Kangchenjunga, as well as other Himalayan Climbing peaks.

The classic route from the north involves high altitude glacier walking. The south and west faces of the peak offer more demanding technical routes. Climbers will need to make use of crampons to make the inclination, will carry a long way for support, and will be roped to a guide across the glacier on summit day. First-time users of these aids are given instruction on their use below base camp. Many tourists used this peak for training before 7,000 or 8,000 mountain ascent. That is why Mera Peak Climbing is a very famous climb in a Himalayan peak of Nepal.

The ascent from the Mera La is moderate and sustained; before reaching a short, but straightforward climb up a 40-degree slope to Mera central summit. Note that the slightly higher North Summit is presently heavily crevassed and expeditions currently head for the Central Summit nearby (6461 m). The ease of reaching this elevation may be its biggest danger; but good weather and snow conditions are, of course, necessary for safety and success.
