Our Upper Mustang Hiking and Mountain Biking/Cycling adventure begins with either a flight or a drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. Once in Pokhara, we will board a flight to Jomsom, where our cycling team will greet and introduce themselves. At this point, the team will provide an overview of the landscape, terrain, and essential safety guidelines to ensure that the journey is not only thrilling but also safe and enjoyable.
Given the unique weather patterns in Mustang, we advise trekkers to arrive in Jomsom before noon, as the afternoon brings strong winds and dust due to Mustang being situated on the leeward side of Nepal. In certain areas, biking can be quite challenging due to rough terrain, so we will switch to hiking through these sections to ensure a smooth experience. Additionally, the organic apple orchards in Mustang offer a delightful energy boost, perfect for revitalizing yourself as you navigate the high-altitude, rocky paths.
