Description

Mardi Himal Trek

Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek explores the revered Annapurna region of Nepal and has gathered praise for mesmerizing trails and settings. This trek aims to explore the abundant wildlife residing in the wild jungles of the Annapurna Conservation Area. Furthermore, a cultural excursion in the quaint village of Siding offers joyful experiences to every soul seeking a taste of Nepali culture. If you want to gain maximum nature exposure, then the Mardi Himal trek is definitely made for you.

Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek 10 days commence from Kathmandu and after you collect all your stuff. We shall head to Pokhara. The drive takes us through the Prithvi Highway. Pokhara is a beautiful valley that is abundant in natural landmarks like Phewa Lake, Davis Falls, Mahendra Cave, and World Peace Pagoda. A short drive from Pokhara takes us to Kande and, from there, the real trek starts.

The first stop is at Forest Camp which sits right between the wilderness of the Annapurna Conservation Area. The lack of human settlements grants unreal solitude to the trails on the trek. From the Forest camp, we will head to the Low Camp. The increase in altitude can be a bit challenging so, tread carefully. We make camp there and spend the night.

The next day leads us to High Camp which provides us with a picturesque view of the Mardi Himal (5553m), Annapurna Mountains, and Lamjung Himal (6983m). The walk to the upper viewpoint is pretty steep but rewarding. From the high camp, we will begin our descent. The downward trail takes us to Siding Village. The people here are of Gurung ethnicity. Their hospitality and unique lifestyle allow us to immerse ourselves in the local ethos. As we make our way through Lumle, we reach Pokhara. After spending a night there we head to Kathmandu where the trip shall end. The season from mid-September to December is the best season for Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek.
