Description

4-Day Nepal Fixed Departure Tour: Pokhara, Lumbini & Chitwan

4-Day Nepal Fixed Departure Tour: Pokhara, Lumbini & Chitwan

Discover three of Nepal's most distinctive destinations on this 4-day, 3-night fixed-departure group tour from Pokhara to Lumbini and Chitwan. This carefully arranged journey combines the natural beauty of Pokhara, the spiritual and historical importance of Lumbini, and the wildlife and cultural experiences of Chitwan. With convenient Wednesday departures, comfortable accommodation, organized transportation, guided sightseeing, and a combination of heritage, nature, wildlife, and cultural activities, the tour is ideal for travelers looking to experience a diverse side of Nepal in a short period.

Your journey begins in Pokhara, the gateway to the Annapurna region and one of Nepal's most scenic cities. From the peaceful surroundings of the Himalayan foothills, travel by road toward Lumbini, the birthplace of Siddhartha Gautama Buddha. The journey takes you through Nepal's changing landscapes, from the green hills around Pokhara toward the lower plains, with the route passing through the scenic Palpa/Tansen region. Upon reaching Lumbini, explore important attractions including the World Peace Pagoda and the Central Canal area, experiencing the peaceful atmosphere of one of the world's most important Buddhist pilgrimage destinations.

The following day continues the spiritual and historical exploration of Lumbini. Visit the Maya Devi Temple, the sacred site traditionally recognized as the birthplace of Buddha, and see the historic Ashoka Pillar associated with Emperor Ashoka's pilgrimage to Lumbini. Continue through the International Monastic Zone, where monasteries and Buddhist centers representing different traditions and countries create a fascinating cultural landscape. After completing the Lumbini sightseeing program, continue by road toward Chitwan, a region famous for its forests, wildlife, wetlands, and indigenous Tharu culture.

Upon arrival in Chitwan, check in to your jungle resort and begin experiencing the atmosphere of Nepal's southern Terai region. Enjoy a peaceful sunset experience around the Rapti River, followed by a walk through a nearby Tharu village. The evening provides an opportunity to learn about the traditional lifestyle and culture of the Tharu people, one of the indigenous communities of the Terai. Later, enjoy a traditional Tharu Cultural Stick Dance performance, featuring local music and dance and providing an authentic introduction to the region's cultural heritage.

Day 3 is dedicated to the natural and wildlife attractions of Chitwan National Park. Begin with an early morning bird-watching experience, when the park and surrounding wetlands are particularly active with birdlife. Continue with a peaceful canoe ride, allowing you to experience Chitwan's waterways while observing the surrounding forest and river environment. The main adventure of the day is a jeep safari inside Chitwan National Park, where you will travel through forest and grassland habitats in search of Nepal's wildlife. Depending on natural conditions and luck, you may encounter the greater one-horned rhinoceros, deer, crocodiles, wild boar, monkeys, and a variety of bird species. Chitwan is renowned for its biodiversity, but wildlife sightings are naturally unpredictable and cannot be guaranteed. The day's combination of safari, canoeing, bird watching, and cultural activities provides a well-rounded experience of the Chitwan region.

On the final day, enjoy breakfast at the jungle resort before checking out and concluding your organized tour in Chitwan. As the package ends in Chitwan, you have the flexibility to extend your stay in the area, continue to another destination in Nepal, or arrange onward transportation according to your travel plans. The tour is particularly convenient for travelers who want to continue exploring Nepal after visiting Pokhara, Lumbini, and Chitwan without having to return to Pokhara as part of the organized itinerary.

Experience the Best of Three Destinations

Pokhara introduces you to Nepal's spectacular mountain landscapes and peaceful Himalayan atmosphere before the journey moves toward the spiritual heartland of Lumbini. Here, ancient Buddhist heritage and international monasteries provide a completely different perspective on Nepal's history and culture.
