Experience one of the most scenic routes to the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa (4,167 m). This unique 3-day circular trek takes you through remote Berber villages, green valleys, waterfalls, high mountain passes, and breathtaking alpine landscapes before reaching the roof of Morocco. Guided by a licensed local mountain guide, you'll enjoy an unforgettable combination of adventure, culture, and spectacular scenery.
Day 1: Imlil (1,740 m) – Tizi Mzik Pass (2,400 m) – Tamsoult (2,300 m)
Your adventure begins in the mountain village of Imlil, where you meet your guide and mule team. The trail climbs steadily to the beautiful Tizi Mzik Pass (2,400 m), offering magnificent panoramic views over the Imlil and Azzaden valleys. After a relaxing break, descend into the lush Azzaden Valley, passing walnut groves, traditional Berber villages, and terraced fields before arriving at the peaceful village of Tamsoult (2,300 m). Overnight in a welcoming mountain guesthouse with a traditional Moroccan dinner.
Day 2: Tamsoult – Aguelzim Pass (3,600 m) – Toubkal Refuge (3,207 m)
After breakfast, continue ascending through spectacular mountain scenery toward the impressive Aguelzim Pass (3,600 m). This challenging but rewarding climb offers breathtaking views of the surrounding High Atlas peaks. From the pass, descend to the famous Toubkal Refuge (3,207 m), the base camp for tomorrow's summit attempt. Relax, enjoy dinner, and prepare for an early morning ascent.
Day 3: Toubkal Refuge – Mount Toubkal Summit (4,167 m) – Imlil – Marrakech
Start before sunrise for the final ascent to the summit of Mount Toubkal (4,167 m). Reaching the highest point in North Africa is a truly unforgettable achievement, rewarded with spectacular 360-degree views across the High Atlas Mountains and, on clear days, as far as the Sahara Desert.
After celebrating your accomplishment and taking memorable photos, descend back to the refuge for lunch before continuing the descent through the beautiful mountain landscapes to Imlil. At the end of the trek, meet your driver for your transfer back to Marrakech, where your adventure concludes.
