7-Day Morocco Tour from Marrakech: Sahara Desert & Essaouira
Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech
Welcome to Morocco! Upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, your driver will greet you and transfer you to your traditional riad in the heart of the medina.
If your flight arrives early, enjoy a guided tour of Marrakech's highlights, including its historic monuments, colorful souks, and the lively Jemaa el-Fna Square.
Overnight: Riad Marana, Riad Manissa, or similar.
Day 2: Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Dades Valley
Leave Marrakech behind as you cross the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n'Tichka Pass. Stop to admire panoramic views before reaching the UNESCO-listed Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, one of Morocco's most iconic fortified villages and a famous filming location.
Continue through Skoura's palm groves and the Valley of Roses before arriving in the beautiful Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations and peaceful scenery.
Overnight: Dar Ahlam Dades, Grand Canyons Lodge Dades or similar.
Day 3: Dades Valley – Todgha Gorges – Merzouga Sahara Desert
Travel through the spectacular Todgha Gorges, where towering canyon walls rise above a lush oasis. Continue via Erfoud to Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes.
In the afternoon, enjoy a camel trek across the golden Sahara Desert, watch a breathtaking sunset, try sandboarding, and spend an unforgettable night in a luxury desert camp beneath the stars.

Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate
Wake early to admire the sunrise over the dunes before breakfast. Continue through the traditional market town of Rissani (market days permitting), then travel across the desert landscapes of Alnif and Nkob.
Follow the scenic Draa Valley, home to Morocco's longest palm oasis, before crossing the Anti-Atlas Mountains to Ouarzazate.
Overnight: Riad Tama Dar Amoudou, Dar Chamaa or Similar..
Day 5: Ouarzazate – Telouet Kasbah – Marrakech-Essaouira
After breakfast, discover the historic Kasbah of Telouet before driving through the beautiful Ounila Valley, dotted with traditional Berber villages.
Cross the High Atlas Mountains once more and return to Marrakech. Pass Marrakech and drive the 2.5 to Essaouira. Check into the hotel.
Stay at Riad Kafila or similar.
Day 6: Essaouira
Breakfast at the Riad. Start the exploration of Essaouira: Atlantic coast and explore the charming seaside town , a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Wander through its whitewashed medina, stroll along the historic ramparts, visit the fishing port, and enjoy freshly grilled seafood overlooking the ocean.
Return to Marrakech in the evening, or spend the night in Essaouira depending on your flight schedule and preference.

Day 7: Departure
