Merzouga 3 Days Trip

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Ben Hadou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

Our desert tour begins with a pickup from your hotel or riad in Marrakech at 7 am. Our journey will take us through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass, a stunning mountain pass in the High Atlas Mountains. Along the way, you'll see beautiful landscapes, colorful scenery, and small Berber villages.

We'll make our first stop at AIT BARKA VILLAGE around 10:00 a.m. You can take pictures, relax, and have breakfast if you want. It's a great spot to start exploring the highest atlas mountains in Morocco, known as TIZI N TICHKA.

Next, we'll visit AIT BEN HADOU, one of Morocco's oldest villages and a UNESCO World Heritage site. A local guide will show you around and explain its rich history. You'll have some free time for lunch, which will last about an hour.

Afterward, we'll continue our journey to Ouarzazate, a charming famous city in where some popular movies like Game of Thrones and The Gladiator took place. Here we'll visit the impressive Kasbah Taourirt and then we will continue our journey to Kalaa Megouna, a village known for its Rose Festival. You'll have a chance to explore the village and learn about the fascinating process of making rose products, before finally reaching the beautiful Dades Valley. Here, you'll have your first dinner and spend your first night in a private hotel room.

Day 2: Dades Valley – Todgha Gorges – Sahara Desert of Merzouga.

After a hearty breakfast (Dinner,breakfast, and overnight accomodation are included), we will drive through the road of 1000 Kasbahs around the colorful Berber villages of Dades valley. 45 km further, you will get to Tineghir. It is famous by its beautiful palm groves and Jewish quarter. While arriving to Todra gorges (Todgha), it's free time to go on a trek along the canyons (about 300 m high). It’s a preferred place by mountain climbers. Our adventure then leads us to the mesmerizing Merzouga Desert, where you'll be amazed by the beauty of the sand dunes, you will take a camel ride at the sunset to get to the oasis where the camp is located. later on, you'll enjoy your second dinner in a camp under the starry desert sky, complete with Berber music for a truly authentic experience. Spend the night in the bivouac under the nomadic tents or outside under shooting stars.

Day 3: Sahara Desert of Merzouga – Marrakech

You adventure is not done yet. Today you will wake up in the early morning to witness what will may be the best sunrise of your life. You will sit over the Sand Dunes of the Sahara of Erg Chebbi to watch the breathtaking desert sunrise before having a delightful breakfast. Afterward, you’ll peacefully camel-trek back to the village of Merzouga. Then you will meet the driver again to continue the tour back to Marrakech via Rissani, Tinghir, Dades valley and Ouarzazate. You will have free time for lunch on the way. You will cross again the Tizi N’Tichka pass and Berber villages between Ouarzazate and Marrakech. Eventually, you will arrive to the city at around 8 pm.
