Morocco désert : discover the real Moroccan désert .

This unique adventure is ideal to explore during the fall and spring months, when desert temperatures are milder. Avoid the summer months, where the heat can be excessive, and the winter months, which can be cold at night. Opt for the intermediate periods for an optimal experience, combining mild climate and enriching discoveries in the heart of the desert.

Itinerary :

Days : 1

Marrakech towards Faijja in the middle of the desert: . Departure towards the south of Zagora, a town at the gateway to the desert. The road winds through the Drâa valley with its oases as far as the eye can see and its typical kasbahs (fortified villages) which line the road. Arriving in Zagora, we take the schoolchildren's path, leaving the main road to travel for kilometers on an arid plateau on which only a few shrubs grow. Arriving late in the afternoon, we set up our bivouac at the foot of the pass which we will cross the next day. 8 hours drive.

day 2:

Faijja towards canyon: After crossing the small Guettara pass, from which there is a clear view of the Faijja depression. Descent through a small canyon to arrive at a small oasis at the entrance to the large canyon that we will travel through tomorrow. Night in tent. 7 hours of walking.

day 3 :

canyon towards large dune of Erg Chigaga: The start of the day is spent between the impressive walls of the canyons. Then the horizon widens allowing us to glimpse the first dunes in the distance... We progress on volcanic plateaus dotted with nomads' tents and a few herds of goats. In the afternoon we reach the very first dunes which only make us imagine what awaits us. We arrive at the end of the afternoon at the great s of Erg Chigaga. Our camp is already set up and we can admire the sunset from the top of the highest dunes in Morocco. Night in tent at the foot of the dunes 6:30 a.m.

Day 4:

Erg chigaga. we climb on the camels to follow the crest of the dunes all morning and also to watch the sunrise. In the afternoon we have fun in the dunes to enjoy this day and we enjoy the sunset again at the top of the dunes.

day 5:

Erg chigaga towards the dunes of Bouguerne. Waking up in the dunes puts us in a good mood to continue our walk through the never-ending dunes...up...down...up...down...we never tire of admiring the shape of the sand the little bushes hidden at the shade of the tamarisk, its trees which manage to grow between the dunes with very little water. In the afternoon, we will continue our walk through small dunes and plateaus on which we can come across a few herds of camels. Night in a tent at the foot of the big dune.

Day 6:

Bouguerne dunes towards Keriat Jmal dunes. Dunes always dunes interspersed with large plateaus dotted with tamarisk and acacia trees in the shade of which we relax for a short break or for lunch. We arrive at the end of the afternoon at our bivouac place, it is a field of small dunes between which a few courageous bushes grow. Transfer by 4×4 to Brahim’s lux campsite in Ouled Driss to shower and be ready to return to Marrakech the next day. 6 hours of walking and 30 minutes in 4×4.

Day 7:

Ouled Driss to Marrakech. 9 hours drive.
