Desert Tour from Marrakech

Day 1: Marrakech Airport - Marrakech

Arrival at Marrakech airport, meet with our representative on the exit and transfer to your hotel or Riad in Marrakech.

Check-in, dinner and overnight

Day 2: Marrakech - Ouarzazate – Boumalen Dades

Breakfast and start the guided visit of Marrakech as following:

Bahia Palace

Koutoubia Mosque and it Garden

Djamaa El Fna square

Free time for lunch and departure to Boumalen Dades via the High Atlas Mountains passing through the Tizi’n Tichka pass climbing to an altitude of 2260 meters.

Continue to the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, one of the most famous in Morocco where many great films have been shot. The Kasbah is under the protection of UNESCO.

Short visit of Ouarzazate including the Kasbah of Taourirt from out side, and head to Boumalen Dades through the road of the ” thousand kasbahs ”.

Day 3: Dades - Tinghir - Erfoud - Merzouga (Sahara)

Breakfast and head to the Sahara (Desert) with a visit to the Todra Canyons for a walk and enjoy this massive rocky mountain, then continue to Erfoud for lunch.

After lunch, start the great experience with 4WD to venture into the old track, Paris / Dakar race.

A stop in a Mining village where they extract the famous fossil marble from a nearby quarry,

a stop to sip cup of tea in a Tent of nomadic Berber family, who live in the middle of the desert and Continue through the famous “sea of sand” to reach the great golden sand dunes of Merzouga, just before sunset, down off the jeep to ride the Dromedary for climbing the high dune, for enjoying the magical sunset in the Sahara.

Return with the caravan to the camp (tents) where you will spend an unforgotten night under the beautiful sky decorated with millions of stars.

Day 4 : Merzouga (Sahara) - ALNIF - ZAGORA

Hike for sand dunes early in the morning for the spectacular sunrise, then Return to the camp for breakfast and departure to Zagora through the village of Rissani, a natural city of the present ” Alaouites ” dynasty and on your way, a stop in Alnif; a small Berber village.

Free time for lunch and continue to Zagora via Tazzarine and Taghbalt which offer splendid scenery with the pre-Saharan desert and the Sargho Mountain.

Visit the famous library of Tamegroute that containing ancient texts and documents dating back to the 12th century.

Check-in, dinner and overnight at the hotel or Riad

Day 5 : Zagora - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

Breakfast and leave to Marrakech through the village of Agdz, you take a road built in the Draa river valley that passes through numerous villages and palm groves before arriving in Ouarzazate.

Free time for lunch and continue through the same road of Tizi’n Tichka pass, to reach Marrakech in the late afternoon.

Day 6 : Marrakech - Marrakech Airport

After breakfast, and accordingly to your flight timing, transfer to the Airport
