3 days tour from marrakech to fes
On the first day, we will see and cross the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, the highest pass in Morocco. On the second day of our Marrakech to Fes desert tour, we will pass through the Todra and Dades Gorges. We will arrive in the Merzouga Sahara desert in the late afternoon, and from here we will be taken by a camel guide across the sand dunes to a Bedouin camp. You will spend the night in the Merzouga desert, experiencing the silence of the Sahara. On the third day, we will continue our way to Fes (Fez) via Midelt and Azrou cedar forest.

Program Itinerary of the Marrakech to Fes 3-Day Desert Tour
Day 1: Marrakech, Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate, Dades Valley (315 km)
On your 3-day Marrakech to Fes desert tour around the eastern half of Morocco, you will travel in style in a modern, air-conditioned 4WD or minibus. Our guide will pick you up from your Marrakech hotel at 8:30 AM and escort you to the departure point. We will travel over the Atlas Mountain range and descend into the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.
The Kasbah (there are actually six of them within a walled city) is a place of wonder. Here, you will feel almost like you have stepped back in time to the days of gladiators, desert nomads, and ancient trading markets. Lunch on the first day will be taken in the Kasbah at Ait Ben Haddou after the sightseeing tour has finished.
Our next stop on our first day will be at Ouarzazate. We will admire the scenery of a city where several blockbuster movies have been filmed, such as “The Mummy (1999 & 2001)," “Lawrence of Arabia (1962)," and “Gladiator (2000),” without forgetting “Game of Thrones” in 2013, among the many films that have taken place in a city often called “The Gateway to the Desert.”.
In the desert’s gateway city, we can stop at a café before venturing onto the Dades Valley. Once there, you can relax and unwind in a private room at a local traditional riad in Dades with an en-suite bathroom and enjoy the culinary delights of a Moroccan evening dinner.
Day 2: Dades, Todra Gorges, Erfoud and Merzouga (Night in Desert Camp) [255 km]
After breakfast, we go from Dades gorges to the Erg Chebbi Sahara desert in Merzouga. Berber villages are scattered along the way. We’ll pass through Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud, where we’ll feel the beginning of the Saharan oasis of Tafilalet, and then we continue to Merzouga, where your guide and camels will be waiting to carry you across the high sand dunes of the Moroccan Sahara Desert.
Camel rides as the sunset crosses the sand dunes to reach our nomad desert camp in Erg Chebbi. with drums in the middle of the Sahara desert, dinner, and overnight under a nomad tent.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert, Ziz Valley, Midelt, Ifran and Fes (467 km)
Continuing our 3-day Marrakech to Fes desert tour, after you wake up to witness the beautiful scenery of sunrise from the top of the dunes of Erg Chebbi, breakfast will be served at the camp, and you will take a shower. Then, ride the camels back to the original point as we can transfer you by 4WD as an alternative to camels; it is up to you.
After being done with Merzouga sightseeing, you’ll be transferred to the next destination to head to Fes through the Ziz Valley, Midelt, Ifrane City, known as the little Switzerland of Morocco, and the famed Middle Atlas cedar forest with its Barbery apes in Azrou, where you will have a short walk to take pictures. Late afternoon arrival to Fes; drop off at your riad or hotel with amazing stories and unforgettable memories in your mind.
