Day 1: Marrakech - Zagora
After an early morning pickup from your Marrakech hotel or riad, drive over the High Atlas Mountains on a picturesque road to the World Heritage hamlet of Ait Ben Haddou. It is instantly recognisable as the scene for numerous Hollywood epics, as well as a favorite location for photo shoots with worldwide fashion publications and agencies. Explore the Kasbah leisurely, with some free time for lunch.
Continue to Agdez, an oasis, before traveling through the Draa Valley's date and palm palms. Admire the fortified Kasbahs along the way. When you arrive in Zagora, meet your camel caravan and ride through the dunes while watching the sunset color the desert sands.
Then, sometime before nightfall, transfer to your Sahara Desert tent. Set up your private tent and spend some free time exploring the nearby desert beauty. Dinner will be served under the stars, and your nomad hosts will entertain you around a campfire with their tam-tam drums.
Day 2: Zagora - Marrakech
Wake up early to enjoy the magic of a desert dawn (optional). Then, eat breakfast before hopping back into your camel's saddle for the journey back to the main road.
Your minivan will be waiting to transport you back to Marrakech, where you will arrive approximately 6 p.m
