From Delhi: Taj Mahal and Agra Overnight Tour

Day 1:

Depart from Delhi:

Start your journey from Delhi in the morning. You can either hire a private car, take a taxi, or use public transportation like trains or buses to reach Agra.

Reach Agra: The journey from Delhi to Agra takes approximately 3-4 hours, depending on the mode of transportation and traffic conditions. Upon arrival in Agra, check-in to your hotel and freshen up.

Taj Mahal: Visit the iconic Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Explore the magnificent white marble mausoleum and its beautiful gardens. It’s best to visit the Taj Mahal during sunrise or sunset for a mesmerizing experience.

Agra Fort: After visiting the Taj Mahal, head to Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Explore the grandeur of this red sandstone fortress that served as the main residence of the Mughal emperors.

Optional: Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb or Mehtab Bagh: If time permits, you can visit other attractions like Itmad-ud-Daulah’s Tomb, also known as the “Baby Taj,” or Mehtab Bagh, a garden complex offering a splendid view of the Taj Mahal from across the Yamuna River.

Day 2:

Fatehpur Sikri (Optional): If you have an additional day and are interested in exploring more, you can plan a visit to Fatehpur Sikri, a deserted Mughal city located about an hour’s drive from Agra. It’s famous for its stunning architecture and historical significance.

Return to Delhi: After breakfast, check out from your hotel and begin your journey back to Delhi. You can follow the same mode of transportation that you used for the onward journey.
