DAY 1. ITINERARY

1. Begin your tour with a pickup from your preferred Darjeeling location. Meet our Trip Representative, then start your adventure to Tiger Hill exploring crack of dawn with Transportation to and from Hotel. Get picked up from your hotel early in the morning at 4:00 am, and drive to Tiger Hill.

2. Yiga Choeling Monastery: Just below Ghoom railway station about 8 km, away from Darjeeling town, Yiga Choling is the largest of Darjeeling's "Three Monastery". Built in 1875 by Lama Sherab Gyatso, its content images of Buddhist deities and lamas, such as Chen Rezig the Buddhist of compassion and Tsongkhapa the founder of the Geluvpa Sect. The monastery also contains or huge 15 foot image of Jampeyang, the Buddha of the future. A large collection of liturgical text includes the 108 volume Kangyur, the Tibetan Buddhist cannon. Or Druk Thupten Sangag Choeling Monastery: The Dali Monastery, located on the route between Ghoom and Darjeeling at an elevation of 7000 feet above sea level, is Drukpa Kagyud Monastery of the Kagyupa Order of Tibetan Buddhism. The Dali Gompa is perched atop a hillock between Darjeeling Railway Station and Darjeeling City's Ghoom Railway Station. Kyabje Thuksey Rimpoche built Dali Gompa in 1971. In terms of resident Monks, this Monastery is the largest in the area. The Dali Gompa is home to 210 Tibetan Buddhists of the Drukchen sect. This Gompa also had the good fortune of hosting His Highness the Dalai Lama for three days in 1993, when he taught about various aspects of Tibetan Buddhism and culture. The Monastery's Library also houses a large collection of books on Buddhism and Philosophy. The Hall of big, cylindrical 6 ft high golden Tibetan Prayer Wheels that the Monks keep turning while offering their Prayers is the most popular part of this Monastery that draws huge crowds.

3. Batasia Loop: The heritage train makes a 360 degree turn at this gigantic railway loop almost 5 kilometre from the town. Built to help the steam train negotiate the steep terrain.

Batasia Loop is strategically located to offers a panoramic view of the mountain beyond.

4. Borbotey Rock Garden: The Rock Garden also Known as Barbotey Rock Garden is situated at 10 km from Darjeeling town. This place offers attractive tourist spots with natural waterfall, It also provides beautiful spot for strolling and taking pictures.

6. Japanese Peace Pagoda: The Japanese Peace Pagoda was established by followers of the Nipponzan Myohoji, a Japanese Buddhist order. The Pagoda is the highest free-standing structure in town, and showcase the avatars of Buddha. Near the Pagoda is the Nipponzan Myohoji Temple, which is built in a traditional Japanese style and offers visitors a place for peace and introspection. Visitor may meditate and interact with the resident Japanese monks. Photography is permitted the temple so click some beautiful memorable snaps.

7. Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park: Darjeeling Zoo is famous for the rare Red pandas, where one can see them in their natural habitat. It also houses diverse rare species like Snow Leopard, Blue Sheep, Siberian Tiger, Black Bear, which one may not be able to see together in one place.

8. Himalayan Mountaineering Institute : HMI was established in Darjeeling. Narendra Dhar Jayal, a pioneer in Indian mountaineering, was the institute's founding principal. Tenzing Norgay was the first director of field training at HMI.

9. Nbu Museum: It Is located in the premise of Zoological park, it houses many different species of Beetles, Snakes, Birds, Animals etc.

10. Darjeeling Rangeet Valley Passenger Ropeway: The Cable Car starts from Singamari to the valley of Tukvar Tea Estate.

11. Tenzing Gombu Rock: The Rock is named after Tenzing Norgay, one of the first climbers of Mt. Everest. One can try to climb the rock to check their strength and to feel the excitement of adrenaline. If not one can witness the various climbers trying their luck in conquering the rock.

12. Tea Garden / Happy Valley Tea Estate: Among the various tea plantation present in and around Darjeeling, the famous being Happy Valley and Chitrey Tea Garden. Chitrey Tea Garden specializes in variety of tea bushes. One can see the entire range of mount Kanchenjunga while sitting among the tea bushes and sipping the famous Darjeeling Tea Or Happy Valley Tea Estate: Happy Valley Tea Estate is a tea garden in the Indian state of West Bengal's Darjeeling district. It is Darjeeling's second oldest tea estate, having been established in 1854. It is spread across 177 hectares (440 acres) and is located 3 kilometres (1.9 miles) north of Darjeeling, at a height of 2,100 metres (6,900 ft) above sea level. It employs over 1500 people.

13. Tibetan Refugee Centre: The Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre (TRSHC), located in Lebong and locally known as Hermitage, was founded on October 2, 1959. Zhu Dan established this centre in 1959 with funds raised through local charity (wife of Gyalo Thondup). Initially, the facility provided emergency relief to Tibetan refugees who had made the perilous journey across the Himalayas into India. For Tibetans, the Hill-side held special significance because the Thirteenth Dalai Lama had spent his exile in India from 1910 to 1912, following the Chinese invasion of Tibet at the time. The centre was established as a charitable organisation under the Indian government's act. The centre began with just four employees and now houses 130 Tibetan families.The centre has been involved in a variety of activities, including handicrafts, artisan training, and craftsmen. These activities are primarily focused on providing care for the sick, elderly, and impoverished. There is now a créche, a nursery school, and a pre-primary school (up to +2 standard) in the Centre.
