Eastern Himalaya: Darjeeling, Pelling, Gangtok & Kalimpong

Day 1: Bagdogra – Darjeeling

Drive: Approx. 62 km | 3 hrs

Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport, meet our representative and drive through picturesque tea gardens and mountain roads to the charming hill station of Darjeeling. After checking into your hotel, spend the evening exploring the lively Mall Road and local market or simply relax while enjoying the refreshing mountain atmosphere. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

Day 2: Darjeeling Sightseeing

Begin early with a sunrise excursion to Tiger Hill, offering magnificent views of Kanchenjunga and, on clear days, Mount Everest. On the return journey, visit Ghoom Monastery and the famous Batasia Loop. After breakfast, continue sightseeing with the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Tenzing Rock, the Darjeeling Ropeway viewpoint, the Tibetan Refugee Self Help Centre, and Happy Valley Tea Estate. Day 3: Darjeeling – Pelling

Drive: Approx. 75 km | 3–4 hrs

After breakfast, drive through beautiful mountain scenery to Pelling, one of Sikkim's most picturesque destinations. Visit the historic Pemayangtse Monastery, explore the ancient Rabdentse Ruins, continue to the sacred Tashiding Monastery and Sanga Choeling Monastery, and conclude the day at the scenic Rimbi Waterfalls. Day 4: Pelling – Gangtok

Drive: Approx. 120 km | 5 hrs

After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive through the Himalayan foothills via Temi, Singtam, Rangpo, and Ranipool before arriving in Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. Check into your hotel and spend the remainder of the day at leisure exploring the vibrant local markets or relaxing. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 5: Gangtok Sightseeing

After breakfast, visit the magnificent Rumtek Monastery, followed by the beautiful Bakthang Waterfall, Tashi View Point, Ganesh Tok, and the peaceful Enchey Monastery. Continue to the Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom, where traditional Sikkimese arts and crafts are showcased, before spending some leisure time exploring Gangtok's bustling markets. Day 6: Gangtok – Kalimpong

After breakfast, drive to the tranquil hill town of Kalimpong. Visit the historic MacFarlane Memorial Church, Dr. Graham's Homes, the beautiful Durpin Monastery, scenic Deolo Park, the ancient Thongsa Gompa, and the impressive Zang Dhok Palri Monastery, renowned for its sacred Buddhist scriptures and Tibetan murals. Day 7: Kalimpong – Bagdogra

Drive: Approx. 75 km | 3 hrs
